Si no se encuentran imágenes de Asset Library

Opciones de ruta de búsqueda de imágenes

Buscar subcarpetas

Marque esta casilla de verificación para que Prinergy busque automáticamente en las subcarpetas imágenes para el intercambio de imágenes OPI. Busca las subcarpetas en orden alfabético y, antes de buscar en un nivel inferior, busca en todas las subcarpetas inmediatas.

En las versiones anteriores de Prinergy era necesario especificar cada carpeta que contuviera imágenes para el intercambio de imágenes OPI. Esto podría suponer una gran cantidad de trabajo si las imágenes se organizan en numerosas carpetas. Ahora, al buscar una imagen coincidente, es posible indicar al sistema que busque en las subcarpetas.

Si la opción está seleccionada, Prinergy busca en las subcarpetas en orden alfabético y, antes de buscar en un nivel inferior, busca en todas las subcarpetas inmediatas. En el siguiente diagrama se muestra el orden de búsqueda si la ruta de búsqueda estaba definida en la carpeta images. Los números indican el orden en el que el motor OPI encuentra cada archivo al buscar en las subcarpetas.

Si el motor OPI busca la imagen fish.tif, encontrará el archivo número 5 dentro de la carpeta hires from tim después de buscar en la carpeta raíz (la carpeta images) y después de buscar en la carpeta dons images. Si el motor OPI está buscando la imagen logo.eps, encontrará el archivo número 2 en lugar del número 4.

Se informa a los usuarios de que el algoritmo de búsqueda puede detectar varias imágenes con el mismo nombre de archivo de formas inesperadas. El ejemplo contiene dos imágenes con el nombre logo.eps y esta ambigüedad puede producir resultados erróneos. Se recomienda a los usuarios comprobar atentamente las páginas afinadas en caso de duda.

La búsqueda recursiva puede tardar mucho tiempo si Prinergy tiene que buscar en muchas subcarpetas. El rendimiento del proceso de afinado puede verse afectado: tenga cuidado cuando use esta función con rutas de búsqueda que hagan referencia a discos grandes.

Omitir imágenes con estos sufijos

Si esta casilla de verificación está marcada, la sustitución de imagen OPI no se realizará en imágenes con sufijos especificados en este cuadro (por ejemplo, .tiff, .jpg o .jpeg).

Esta opción es útil cuando hay archivos TIFF de alta resolución y archivos FPO de baja resolución (sólo para la colocación) en la misma página PDF.

Error si faltan imágenes

Está disponible cuando la casilla de verificación Buscar imágenes de alta resolución en rutas de búsqueda de imágenes está marcada.

El proceso de normalización falla si OPI no puede localizar una imagen.

Cuando está activada, Prinergy genera un mensaje de error si OPI no puede encontrar una imagen para el archivo de entrada. Prinergy no genera un archivo PDF debido a que falta una imagen, mostrará un mensaje de error y un icono ( ) en tres lugares: en el panel Procesos activos del Administrador de trabajos, en el cuadro de diálogo Información de proceso y la vista Historial del Administrador de trabajos.

Cuando está desactivada, Prinergy muestra un mensaje o un icono de advertencia ( ) en las ubicaciones anteriores si no puede encontrar una imagen para un archivo de entrada. Aunque la imagen falta, genera el archivo PDF.

Atributos de imagen

Aplicar ruta de recorte en archivos TIFF de Photoshop

Marque esta casilla de verificación para usar la ruta de recorte directamente desde las imágenes TIFF de Adobe Photoshop.

Nota: Si el archivo de origen no está diseñado para que se use la ruta de recorte a partir del archivo TIFF de Photoshop, se puede producir un recorte de imagen imprevisto. En caso de duda, compruebe los archivos afinados detenidamente.
Desactive esta casilla de verificación para omitir el conjunto de rutas de recorte en las imágenes TIFF de Photoshop.

Incluir canales de colores planos en archivos TIFF de Photoshop

Incluye los canales de color plano, además de los canales CMYK durante la sustitución de imágenes OPI.

Cuando esta casilla de verificación está marcada, el motor OPI fusiona los canales de colores CMYK con los de color plano para producir una sola imagen "DeviceN" de múltiples canales. El proceso de afinado adicional como, por ejemplo, la coincidencia de color y el solapamiento, funcionará correctamente para estas imágenes. Cuando esta casilla de verificación está desactivada, se omitirán todos los canales de color plano del archivo de imagen.

Los canales de colores planos se crean y editan usando la paleta de canales. Tenga en cuenta que, aunque Adobe Photoshop incluye el nombre del canal de color plano, no incluye la receta. Transparencia de imagen

Crear máscaras suaves de canales alfa de archivos TIFF de Photoshop

Crea efectos como bordes desmechados o siluetas suaves durante la sustitución de imágenes OPI.

Las rutas de recorte normales no pueden producir este efecto. Estas rutas de recorte solo ofrecen un borde duro a la imagen. Las máscaras suaves pueden ofrecer un borde duro o suave según el diseño de la máscara.

Cuando se activa, el motor OPI busca en el TIFF de Adobe Photoshop un canal alfa para usarlo con objeto de crear una máscara suave para la imagen de origen. Si hay más de un canal alfa, se usará el primero, el resto se omitirán. Si esta casilla de verificación no está seleccionada, los canales alfa se omitirán.

Nota: No debe confundirse esta función con las de máscara o transparencia de Photoshop, que forman parte de la paleta de capas. Los canales alfa se crean y editan usando la paleta de canales.

Esta función es semejante a las funciones integradas de Adobe InDesign, aunque puede funcionar con el software QuarkXPress o con cualquier software que genere comentarios OPI.

Convertir en transparentes imágenes de Drop Shadow

Marque esta casilla de verificación para insertar imágenes en un diseño concebido para que sea un sombreado para una segunda imagen que esté situada encima de la imagen de sombra.

Cuando esta función está activada y la imagen se identifique como sombreado, el motor OPI aplicará automáticamente el efecto de mezcla transparente. Los nombres de archivos de imágenes deben utilizar una extensión especial que los distinga como imágenes con sombreado frente a las imágenes normales (sin sombreado).

Sufijo de nombre de imagen de sombreado transparente

Define la extensión especial de las imágenes con sombreado que las distingue de las imágenes normales. La extensión predeterminada es .shd. El valor no puede estar en blanco.

Gestión de imágenes de baja resolución

Determina la respuesta del sistema para las imágenes de baja resolución. El cuadro de resolución de mapa de bits por debajo de (ppp) y de resolución de mapa de bits por debajo de (ppp) determinan qué imágenes se consideran de baja resolución.

Seleccione Pasar por alto imágenes de baja resolución si desea que el sistema continúe el procesamiento, independientemente de la calidad de las imágenes. No se han generado mensajes de advertencia. Si esta opción está seleccionada, los cuadros de resolución de tonos continuos por debajo de (ppp) y de resolución de mapa de bits por debajo de (ppp) no están disponibles.

Fuentes

Prinergy sólo puede incrustar fuentes que faltan si el archivo de entrada es PostScript o EPS. Si se va a afinar a PDF/X-1a:2001, Prinergy también puede incrustar fuentes siempre y cuando los archivos de origen sean PDF.

Error si faltan fuentes

Seleccione la opción para que el sistema no logre el afinado del proceso de PDF cuando no puede encontrar una fuente. Cuando el sistema no encuentra una fuente en el archivo de entrada o en la ruta de búsqueda especificada en el cuadro de diálogo Ruta de búsqueda de fuentes, produce una archivo PDF con una X grande de color negro sobre el contenido y genera un mensaje de error y un icono en el panel de Procesos y en la vista Historial.

Si desactiva esta casilla de verificación y el sistema no encuentra las fuentes ni en el archivo de entrada ni en la ruta de búsqueda especificada en el cuadro de diálogo Ruta de búsqueda de fuentes, el sistema mostrará un mensaje de advertencia y un icono en el panel de Procesos y en la vista Historial. El sistema generará el archivo PDF de todos modos, pero faltarán las fuentes del contenido.

En ambos casos, si la plantilla de proceso tiene seleccionada la casilla de verificación Probar primero la emulación, el sistema intenta sintetizar las fuentes que faltan utilizando la biblioteca de fuentes SuperATM de Adobe. Si en la plantilla de proceso está desactivada la casilla de verificación Probar la emulación primero o el sistema no ha sido capaz de simular la fuente que falta, éste empleará la fuente especificada en el cuadro Fuente predeterminada (la predeterminada por el el sistema es Courier).

Fuente predeterminada

Introduzca el nombre de la fuente predeterminada que desee que Prinergy emplee para sustituir las fuentes que faltan. El valor recomendado es que esta casilla se encuentre desactivada.

Si no se especifica una fuente, Prinergy utilizará la fuente Courier como sustituta.

Prinergy utiliza la fuente predeterminada si:

Alguna fuente no está incrustada en el archivo PostScript.
Alguna fuente no se ha instalado (cuando se instaló el JTP Normalizador).
Alguna fuente no puede encontrarse en una ruta de búsqueda de fuentes.
La casilla de verificación Probar primero la emulación no está seleccionada, o Prinergy no pudo sintetizar la fuente.

Probar primero la emulación

Permite la sustitución de fuentes sintéticas. Si las fuentes que faltan en los archivos de entrada forman parte de la biblioteca de fuentes SuperATM de Adobe, Prinergy puede crear fuentes sintéticas usando la tecnología de fuentes MultipleMaster de Adobe. Sin embargo, si no forman parte de la biblioteca de fuentes SuperATM de Adobe, Prinergy utiliza la fuente especificada en el cuadro Fuente predeterminada.

Por tanto, si Prinergy descubre que falta una fuente y la plantilla de proceso tiene activada la casilla de verificación Probar primero la emulación, Prinergy intentará simular la fuente que falta empleando la biblioteca de fuentes SuperATM de Adobe. Si en la plantilla de proceso no está activada la casilla de verificación Probar primero la emulación, o si Prinergy no ha sido capaz de simular la fuente que falta, empleará la fuente especificada en el cuadro Fuente predeterminada (la predeterminada del sistema es Courier).

El valor recomendado es que esta casilla se encuentre desactivada.

Eliminar fuente XUIDs

XUID son las siglas, en inglés, de ID exclusivo extendido, una característica de fuente introducida con el Normalizador 6.

Seleccione esta casilla de verificación para eliminar los XUID de fuentes si está afinando los archivos que se pueden exportar y rasterizar en sistemas que utilizan el 3011 RIP (Prinergy 2.2.1.10 o anterior) u otros RIP anteriores.

Si no se selecciona, el antiguo RIP puede dejar de funcionar en ciertas circunstancias.

Utilizar fuentes del sistema

Active esta opción para utilizar las fuentes instaladas en el sistema en lugar de las fuentes incrustadas en los archivos de entrada. Cuando está activada, las fuentes del sistema se incrustan en los archivos de entrada durante el proceso de afinado.

Si selecciona esta opción pero el sistema no tiene las mismas fuentes que el archivo de entrada, ocurre lo siguiente:

Si el archivo de entrada tiene fuentes incrustadas, el proceso de afinado utiliza esas fuentes incrustadas.
Si el archivo de entrada no tiene fuentes incrustadas, el proceso de afinado falla.

Nota: esta opción no funciona con las fuentes Type3.

Reemplazar resolución por 1200 ppp

Active esta casilla de verificación si desea reemplazar la resolución subyacente que utiliza la función de normalización al afinar los archivos. Esta operación es necesaria para poder procesar las fuentes asiáticas de baja resolución.

Search for High-Resolution Images in Asset Library

Select this check box to direct Prinergy to request high-resolution images from Asset Library, an integrated asset management system that enables you to easily manage a job's digital assets, such as images and text.
This check box applies to PostScript or PDF files that contain OPI comments in low-resolution images generated by Asset Library.
If the image is not found, Prinergy either fails or continues with a warning, depending on what is selected in the If Asset Library Image Not Found list.

History Logging

Use this list to determine whether History view displays messages about images found in Asset Library and how much detail is provided. Choose:

Verbose to list the name of the PDF page that contains an Asset Library image and the name of the image. The list includes one line per image found.
Normal to list the name of the PDF page that contains an Asset Library image, the number of images on the page, and the name of the first image. The list includes one line per PDF page.
Terse to list the name of the input file, the number of PDF pages that contain Asset Library images, and the total number of images. The list includes one line per input file.
None if you do not want History view to display messages about Asset Library images.

If Asset Library Image Not Found

Determines whether a page fails when Prinergy cannot find an image in Asset Library for OPI. The options are:

Fail Page

This list applies only when Search For High-Resolution Images in Asset Library is selected.

Image Search Path Options

Search for Subfolders

Select this check box to have Prinergy automatically search through the subfolders for images for an OPI image swap. Searches the subfolders in alphabetical order and all immediate subfolders are searched first before looking deeper.
Earlier versions of Prinergy required you to specify each folder that contained images for the OPI image swap. This could be a lot of work if you organize images into many different folders. Now, while looking for a matching image, you can instruct the system to search through subfolders.
If the option is selected, Prinergy searches the subfolders in alphabetical order and searches all immediate subfolders are searched first before looking deeper. The following diagram shows the search order if the search path was set to the folder images. The numbers indicate the order in which the OPI engine encounters each file as it searches through the subfolders.

Image Added

If the OPI engine is looking for the image fish.tif it will find file number 5 inside the hires folder after searching the root folder (the images folder) and after searching the don folder. If the OPI engine is looking for the image logo.eps, it will find file number 2 rather than number 4.
Users are advised to consider that different images with the same file name might be discovered by the search algorithm in unexpected ways. The example contains two images named logo.eps and this ambiguity could cause bad results. Users are advised to check the refined pages carefully if there is any doubt.
Recursive searching can take a long time if Prinergy has to search many subfolders. Performance of refine processing may be affected: be cautious when using this feature with search paths pointing to large disks.

Skip Images With These Suffixes

If this check box is selected, OPI image replacement will not be done for images with suffixes that are specified in this box (for example, .tiff, .jpg, .jpeg).
This option is useful when there are high-resolution TIFF files and low-resolution FPO (for placement only) files on the same PDF page.

Fail on Missing Images

Available when the Search for High-Resolution Images in Image Search Paths check box is selected.
Fails the normalize process when OPI can't locate an image.
When you enable this feature, Prinergy produces an error message when OPI can't find an image for the input file. Prinergy fails to produce a PDF file due to the missing image, and displays an error message and/or icon (Image Added) in three places: in the Active Processes pane in Job Manager, in the Process Info dialog box, and on the History view in Job Manager.
When you disable this feature, Prinergy displays a warning message or icon (Image Added) in the above locations when it can't find an image for the input file. Prinergy still produces a PDF file, but it is missing an image.

Image Attributes

Apply Clipping Path in Photoshop TIFFs

Select this check box to use the clipping path directly from Adobe Photoshop TIFF images.
Note: If the source file is not designed to use the clipping path from the Photoshop TIFF, unintended image clipping can occur. Check the refined files carefully if there is any doubt.
Clear this check box to ignore the clipping path set in Photoshop TIFF images.

Include Spot Channels in Photoshop TIFFs

Includes the spot color channels in addition to the CMYK channels during OPI image replacement.
When this check box is selected, the OPI engine merges the CMYK color channels with all spot color channels to produce a single, multichannel DeviceN image. Further refine processing such as color matching and trapping will function correctly for these images. When this check box is cleared, all of the spot color channels in the image file are ignored.
Spot color channels are created and edited using the Channels palette. Note that although Adobe Photoshop includes the name of the spot color channel, it does not include the recipe. Users should select the Lookup Recipe in Color Database option in the Spot Color Handling section of the refine process template to get an accurate color recipe for proper color matching and trapping.
Be aware that Adobe InDesign software will not omit TIFF files for OPI that contain spot colors, even when OPI is selected in the Print dialog box. One workaround is to place a plain CMYK TIFF proxy image first, generate PostScript from InDesign software including the OPI comments (but omitting images), and then put the TIFF file containing the desired spot color channels into the search directories.

Image Transparency

Create Soft Masks from Photoshop TIFF Alpha Channels

Creates effects such as feathered edges or soft silhouettes during OPI image replacement.
Normal clipping paths cannot produce this effect. Clipping paths give only a hard edge to the image. Soft masks may give either a hard or soft edge, depending on the design of the mask.
When enabled, the OPI engine looks inside the Adobe Photoshop TIFF for an alpha channel to be used to create a soft mask for the source image. If more than one alpha channel is present, the first one is used and the remaining alpha channels are ignored. When this check box is cleared, all the alpha channels are ignored.
Note: This should not be confused with the Photoshop masking or transparency features that are part of the Layers palette. Alpha channels are created and edited using the Channels palette.
This feature is similar to the built-in capabilities of Adobe InDesign, although it will work with QuarkXPress software or any software that will generate OPI comments.

Make Drop Shadow Images Transparent

Select this check box to insert images into a layout that is intended as a drop shadow for a second image that is placed on top of the shadow image.
When this feature is enabled and the image is identified as a drop shadow, the OPI engine applies the transparency blend effect automatically. The image file names must use a special extension that identifies them as drop-shadow images, rather than normal (non-drop-shadow) images.

Transparent Drop Shadow Image Name Suffix

Sets the special extension for drop shadow images versus normal images. The default extension is .shd. The value cannot be blank.

Low Resolution Image Handling

Determines the system's response to low-resolution images. The of Contone Resolution Below (ppi) box and the of Bitmap Resolution Below (ppi) box determine which images are considered low resolution.
Select Ignore low resolution images when you want the system to continue processing regardless of the image quality. No warning messages are generated. When this option is selected, the of Contone Resolution Below (ppi) box and the of Bitmap Resolution Below (ppi) box are unavailable.
Select Warn for low resolution images when you want the system to display a warning message/icon (Image Added) when the resolution is less than the values indicated in the of Contone Resolution Below (ppi) box and the of Bitmap Resolution Below (ppi) box, but to continue processing.
Select Fail on low resolution images when you want the system to display an error message/icon (Image Added) when the resolution is less than the values indicated in the of Contone Resolution Below (ppi) box and the of Bitmap Resolution Below (ppi) box, and to stop processing. The system produces a PDF file, but a large, black X covers the PDF content.

The system handles contone images with resolutions below this value with the action specified for low-resolution images in the Low Resolution Image Handling box.

Fonts

Prinergy can only embed missing fonts when the input file is PostScript or EPS. If Refining to PDF/X-1a:2001, Prinergy can also embed fonts if the source files are PDF.

Fail on Missing Fonts

Select to have the system fail the refine to PDF process when it can't find a font. When the system can't find a font in either the input file or in a search path specified in the Font Search Path dialog box, it produces a PDF file with a large, black X covering the content, and an error message and icon appear in the Processes pane and in the History view.
If you clear this check box, a warning message and icon appear in the Processes pane and History view when the system can't find fonts in either the input file or in a search path specified in the Font Search Path dialog box. The system still produces a PDF file, but the content is missing fonts.
In both cases if the process template has the Try Emulation First check box selected, the system tries to synthesize the missing font using Adobe's SuperATM Font Library. If the process template has the Try Emulation First check box cleared, or the system was unable to simulate the missing font, the it uses the font specified in the Default Font box (the system default is Courier).

Default Font

Type the name of the default font that you want Prinergy to use as a substitute for missing fonts. The recommended setting is to leave the box empty.
If no font is specified Prinergy uses Courier font as a substitute.
Prinergy uses the default font when:

A font is not embedded in the PostScript file
A font is not installed (when you installed the Normalizer JTP)
A font can't be found in a font search path
The Try Emulation First check box is not selected, or Prinergy could not synthesize the font

Try Emulation First

Enables synthetic font substitution. When an input file's missing fonts are part of Adobe's SuperATM Font Library, Prinergy can construct synthetic fonts using Adobe's MultipleMaster font technology. However, when missing fonts are not part of Adobe's SuperATM Font Library, Prinergy uses the default font specified in the Default Font box.
Therefore, if Prinergy discovers a missing font and the process template has the Try Emulation First check box selected, Prinergy tries to simulate the missing font using Adobe's SuperATM Font Library. If the process template has the Try Emulation First check box cleared, or Prinergy was unable to simulate the missing font, Prinergy uses the font specified in the Default Font box (the system default is Courier).
The recommended setting is Cleared.

Remove Font XUIDs

XUID stands for extended unique ID, which is a font characteristic introduced with Normalizer 6.
Select this check box to remove font XUIDs if you are refining files that may be exported and ripped on systems that use the 3011 RIP (Prinergy 2.2.1.10 or earlier) or other older RIPs.
If left unchecked, the older RIP may crash in some circumstances.

Use System Fonts

Select to use fonts installed on the system instead of the fonts embedded in the input files. If selected, the system fonts are embedded in the input file during the refine process.
If you select this option but the system does not have the same fonts as the input file, one of the following occurs:

If the input file has embedded fonts, the refine process uses these embedded fonts instead.
If the input file does not have embedded fonts, the refine process fails.

Note: This option does not work for Type3 fonts.

Override Resolution at 1200 dpi

Select this check box if you want to override the underlying resolution that the normalize function uses when refining files. This is required if you need to process low-resolution Asian fonts.
