Configure una impresora PostScript para que use el archivo Refiner PPD de Prinergy para crear un archivo PostScript del trabajo desde el software de creación original, por ejemplo QuarkXPress. Puede utilizar una impresora PostScript real o virtual para crear un archivo PostScript.
Debe haber descargado el archivo Refiner PPD de Prinergy.
Nota: Si va a instalar el cliente Prinergy Evo, consulte el archivo Léame de instalación de Refiner PPD incluido con la imagen de instalación del software.

  1. Inicie la utilidad de configuración de impresoras de Mac situada en: Aplicaciones\Utilidades\Utilidad Configuración Impresora.
    Nota: En Mac OS X versión 10.2, esta utilidad se denomina Configuración de impresión. En Mac OS X versión 10.3, se denomina Utilidad Configuración Impresora.
    Tras iniciar la utilidad se muestra la lista de impresoras instaladas actualmente.
  2. Haga clic en Agregar.
  3. En la lista, seleccione Impresión IP. En el cuadro Dirección de la impresora, escriba localhost.
  4. Cancele la selección de la casilla de verificación Utilice la cola predeterminada en el servidor.
  5. Introduzca un Nombre de cola, que es el nombre de la impresora nueva, por ejemplo, PostScript.
  6. En el cuadro Modelo de impresora, seleccione Productos Creo.
    Aparecerá Prinergy Refiner en el cuadro Nombre del modelo.
  7. Haga clic en Agregar y salga de la utilidad de configuración de impresoras.

Ya puede crear un archivo PostScript del trabajo desde el software de creación original.

Set up a PostScript printer to use the Prinergy Refiner PPD for creating a PostScript file of your job from your original authoring software, such as QuarkXPress. You can use an actual or virtual PostScript printer to create a PostScript file.
You must download the Prinergy Refiner PPD file before you proceed with this task.
Note: If installing Prinergy Evo Client software, see the Prinergy Refiner PPD installation README that comes with the Prinergy Evo Client installation image.

  1. Start the Mac Printer Setup Utility software located at: Applications\Utilities\Printer Setup Utility.
    Note: In Mac OS X version 10.2, this is Print Setup. In Mac OS X version 10.3, this is PrinterSetupUtility. 
    After starting the Printer Setup Utility, the list of printers that are currently installed appears.
  2. Click Add.
  3. In the list, select IP Printing. In the Printer's Address box, type localhost. 
  4. Clear the Use default queue on server check box.
  5. Type a Queue Name that is the name of the new printer, for example, PostScript. 
  6. In the Printer Model box, select Creo Products.
    Prinergy Refiner appears in the Model Name box.
  7. Click Add and exit the Printer Setup Utility.

You are now set up to create a PostScript file of your job from your original authoring software.
