Prinergy Tools is a set of licensed plugins for creative applications such as Adobe Illustrator. It is available for both Macintosh and Windows OS-based computers. Although the tools are targeted to packaging converters, they can be used by any Prinergy customers.

The plugins are available in a variety of packages. The first release will include the following product offerings:

Barcode Tool

Using the Prinergy Tools Barcode functionality, you can generate and edit a barcode in an Adobe Illustrator document, and save the barcode in the document.

Inspect Tool

The Inspect Tool provides prompt feedback about whether the working file design meets all the requirements of the intended output and printing process. The preflight result can alert the user to changes that should be made as soon as possible to improve production quality and efficiency.

Trap Tool

The Trap Tool offers four components:

Automatic Trap: Use this tool to create trap tickets that automatically apply the trapping parameters to selected objects or entire artworks. You can designate trap and keepway settings, and set color pair trap rules.

Interactive Trap: This tool allows you to make changes to specific object traps in a file. You can use Trap Tickets to apply all trap parameters to specific objects. 

Rich Black Trap: To create a darker printing effect, use this tool to add another ink to a dark color (usually Black) . 

White Underprint Trap: To create a white background when printing on a metal or transparent material, a white ink is needed to act as neutral base, allowing the other inks printed on top to have the correct appearance. With this tool, you can set the width of the spread or choke of the underprint. Or, you can choose to ignore an object's ink color or white color, and the underprint will not be executed. You can also use the white underprint function for finishing such as varnishing and bronzing.

Warp Tool

The Warp Tool provides a distortion function–you can create and alter an object's grid for Adobe Illustrator. There are three types of warp available:

Circular warp: suitable for shrink-wrap applications

Conic warp: suitable for preprinted labels that will be applied to conic containers

Complex warp: suitable for metal decoration (can printing)

You can also use this tool to adjust grids and create circular standard grids.

Prinergy Set

Eye Tool: Use the Preview functionality to check what the file will look like when printed and to experiment with different percentages of minimum dots. Use the Comparison functionality to compare the file you have opened in Adobe Illustrator with another file–for example, with a previous version of the same file. For more information, see Eye Tool.

Dot Calibration Tool: Use this tool to bump or clip highlight tonal values to address flexo scum dot issues on press. For more information see Dot Calibration Tool.

Ink Tool: Use the Ink Manager, Ink Mix, and Image Channel Mapping tools to manage ink-related tasks such as converting spot colors to CMYK, updating the ink list, setting the darkest ink, adjusting ink sequence, and so on. For more information, see Ink Tool.

Mark Tool: Use the Mark Tool to add printer marks to a plate. The Mark Tool has eight types of marks that you can add to a trim box, media box, sheet, plate, 1-up files, CAD bounding box, or artboard: center mark, corner mark, ellipse mark, gradation mark, image mark, rectangle mark, text mark, station number mark, or trim mark. Search Tool: Use the Search Tool to find all objects matching the parameters and conditions that you specify. This tool enhances the Adobe Illustrator search capability. For more information, see Search Tool.

Production Tool: A set of tools that is more intuitive and easier to use than the corresponding Adobe Illustrator tools: Selection Tool, Gradient Tool, Line Pathfinder Tool, Expand Text Width, Node Optimization, Foreign Art to Gray Tool,  and Path Editing Tool. Überfüllungs-Werkzeug

Das Überfüllungs-Werkzeug bietet vier Komponenten:

Automatische Überfüllung: Verwenden Sie dieses Werkzeug, um Überfüllungs-Voreinstellungen zu erstellen, die automatisch die von Ihnen festgelegten Überfüllungsparameter verwenden. Sie können Überfüllungs- und Keepaway-Einstellungen vornehmen und Regeln für die Farbpaarüberfüllung festlegen.

Interaktive Überfüllung: Dieses Werkzeug bietet einen Überfüllungs-Betriebsmodus, der direkt auf die Überfüllung der ausgewählten Farben reagiert. Benutzer können angegebene Überfüllungen auf bestimmte Farben anwenden. Zusätzlich zu allen Parametern, die bei „Automatische Überfüllung“ verfügbar sind, bietet „Interaktive Überfüllung“ zusätzliche Parameter für vollständige oder teilweise Überfüllungs-/Unterfüllungsvorgänge.

Tiefschwarzüberfüllung: Wenn Sie einen dunkleren Druckeffekt erzielen möchten, verwenden Sie dieses Werkzeug, um einer dunklen Farbe eine weitere Druckfarbe hinzuzufügen (in der Regel Schwarz). 

Weiße Unterdrucküberfüllung: Um beim Drucken auf Metall oder einem transparenten Material einen weißen Hintergrund zu erstellen, ist eine weiße Druckfarbe erforderlich, die als neutrale Basis fungiert, damit die darüber gedruckten anderen Druckfarben das korrekte Aussehen haben. Mit diesem Werkzeug können Sie die Breite der Über- oder Unterfüllung des Unterdrucks festlegen. Alternativ können Sie festlegen, dass die Druckfarbe des Objekts oder die weiße Farbe ignoriert wird, so dass der Unterdruck nicht ausgeführt wird. Außerdem können Sie die weiße Unterdruckfunktion für Fertigstellungsarbeiten wie Lackieren und Bronzieren verwenden.

Verzerrungs-Werkzeug

Das Verzerrungs-Werkzeug bietet eine Verzerrungsfunktion, mit der Sie das Raster eines Objekts für Adobe Illustrator erstellen und ändern können. Drei Verzerrungstypen stehen zur Verfügung:

Kreisförmige Verzerrung: Für Schrumpffolien-Anwendungen geeignet

Kegelförmige Verzerrung: Für vorgedruckte Etiketten geeignet, die auf kegelförmigen Behältern anbracht werden

Komplexe Verzerrung: Für Metalldekoration (Dosendrucken) geeignet

Außerdem können Sie dieses Werkzeug verwenden, um Raster anzupassen und kreisförmige Standardraster zu erstellen.

Prinergy Set

Auge-Werkzeug: Verwenden Sie die Vorschaufunktion, um zu überprüfen, wie die gedruckte Datei aussehen wird und um mit verschiedenen Prozentwerten für den kleinstmöglichen Punkt zu experimentieren. Verwenden Sie die Vergleichsfunktion, um die in Adobe Illustrator geöffnete Datei mit einer anderen Datei, z. B. einer früheren Version derselben Datei, zu vergleichen. Druckfarben-Werkzeug: Verwenden Sie die Werkzeuge „Druckfarbenmanager“, „Druckfarbenmischung“ und „Bildkanalzuordnung“, um druckfarbenbezogene Aufgaben zu verwalten, z. B. das Konvertieren von Sonderfarben in CMYK, Aktualisieren der Druckfarbenliste, Festlegen der dunkelsten Druckfarbe, Anpassen der Druckfarbenfolge usw. Marken-Werkzeug: Verwenden Sie das Marken-Werkzeug, um einer Platte Druckermarken hinzuzufügen. Das Marken-Werkzeug umfasst acht Markentypen, die Sie einem Beschnittrahmen, einem Medienrahmen, einem Bogen, einer Platte, einer Nutzendatei, einem CAD-Begrenzungsfeld oder einer Zeichenfläche hinzufügen können: Mittelmarke, Eckmarke, Ellipsenmarke, Gradationsmarke, Bildmarke, Rechteckmarke, Textmarke, Positionsnummern-Marke oder Beschnittmarke. Suchen-Werkzeug Verwenden Sie das Suchen-Werkzeug, um alle Objekte zu finden, die den von Ihnen angegebenen Parametern und Bedingungen entsprechen. Dieses Werkzeug verbessert die Suchfunktion von Adobe Illustrator. Weitere Informationen hierzu finden Sie unter Search Tool.

Outil Recouvrement

L'outil Recouvrement propose quatre composants :

Recouvrement automatique : Utilisez cet outil pour créer des billets de recouvrement qui utilisent automatiquement les paramètres de recouvrement que vous avez fixés. Vous pouvez désigner des paramètres de recouvrement et de recouvrement inversé et configurer les règles de recouvrement des paires de couleurs.

Recouvrement interactif : Cet outil propose un mode d'opération de recouvrement qui répond directement au recouvrement des couleurs sélectionnées. Les utilisateurs peuvent appliquer des recouvrements conçus pour des couleurs spécifiques. En plus de tous les paramètres disponibles avec la fonctionnalité Recouvrement automatique, l'option Recouvrement interactif dispose de paramètres supplémentaires pour les opérations de recouvrement grossi/maigri.

Recouvrement en noir riche : Pour créer un effet d'impression plus sombre, utilisez cet outil pour ajouter une autre encre à une couleur sombre (généralement du noir). 

Recouvrement sous-impression blanc : Pour créer un arrière-plan blanc lorsque vous imprimez sur du métal ou un matériau transparent, vous avez besoin d'une encre blanche pour agir en tant que base neutre afin de permettre aux autres encres imprimées par-dessus d'avoir une apparence correcte. Avec cet outil, vous pouvez définir la largeur du grossissement ou de l'amaigrissement de la sous-impression. Vous pouvez également choisir d'ignorer la couleur d'encre ou la couleur blanche d'un objet, et la sous-impression ne sera pas exécutée. Vous pouvez également utiliser la fonction sous-impression blanche pour les finitions comme le vernissage ou le bronzage.

Outil Déformation

L'outil Déformation fournit une fonction de distorsion avec laquelle vous pouvez créer et modifier la grille d'un objet dans Adobe Illustrator. Trois types de déformation sont disponibles :

Déformation circulaire : convient aux applications de rétractation

Déformation conique : convient aux étiquettes préimprimées qui seront appliquées aux récipients coniques

Déformation complexe : convient à la décoration du métal (impression de canettes)

Ensemble Prinergy

Outil Œil : Utilisez la fonction Aperçu pour voir à quoi le fichier ressemblera lorsqu'il aura été imprimé et pour tester différents pourcentages de points minimaux. Utilisez la fonction Comparaison pour comparer le fichier que vous avez ouvert dans Adobe Illustrator à un autre fichier, par exemple, à une version précédente du même fichier. Outil Repère : Utilisez l'outil Repère pour ajouter des repères d'impression à une plaque. L'outil Repère possède huit types de repères que vous pouvez ajouter à une zone de rognage, une zone de support, une feuille, une plaque, des fichiers 1 pose, une boîte englobante CAO ou à un plan de travail : repère centré, repère de coin, repère elliptique, repère de gradation, repère de l'image, repère rectangulaire, repère textuel, repère du numéro de position ou repère de rognage. Herramienta de solapamiento

La Herramienta de solapamiento ofrece cuatro componentes:

Solapamiento automático: Utilice esta herramienta para crear notas de solapado que utilicen automáticamente los parámetros de solapamiento que establezca. Puede determinar la configuración de solapamiento y alejamiento, y establecer las reglas de solapamiento de pares de colores.

Solapado interactivo: Esta herramienta ofrece un modo de funcionamiento de solapado que responde directamente al solapamiento de los colores seleccionados. Los usuarios pueden aplicar solapados designados a colores específicos. Además de todos los parámetros disponibles en Solapamiento automático, Solapado interactivo tiene parámetros adicionales para operaciones de extensión/retracción de todo o solapamiento de retracciones/parte extendida.

Solapamiento de negro enriquecido: Para crear un efecto de impresión más oscuro, utilice esta herramienta para agregar otra tinta a un color oscuro (normalmente negro). 

Solapamiento de fondo blanco: Para crear un fondo blanco al imprimir en un material metálico o transparente, se necesita una tinta blanca que sirva como base neutra y que permite que las otras tintas se impriman encima para obtener un aspecto adecuado. Con esta herramienta, puede establecer la anchura de extensión o retracción del fondo. O bien, puede optar por ignorar el color de tinta o el color blanco de un objeto y el fondo no se ejecutará. También puede utilizar la función de fondo blanco para acabados como barnizado o enchapado en bronce.

Herramienta de deformación

La Herramienta de deformación ofrece una función de distorsión: puede crear y modificar la cuadrícula de un objeto para Adobe Illustrator. Existen tres tipos de deformación disponibles:

Deformación circular: adecuada para aplicaciones de embalaje

Deformación cónica: adecuada para etiquetas preimpresas que se aplicarán a contenedores cónicos

Deformación compleja: adecuada para decoración en metal (impresión de latas)

También puede utilizar esta herramienta para ajustar cuadrículas y crear cuadrículas estándar circulares.

Conjunto Prinergy

Herramienta de vista: Utilice la función Vista previa para comprobar el aspecto que tendrá el archivo cuando se imprima y para experimentar con diferentes porcentajes de puntos mínimos. Utilice la función Comparación para comparar el archivo que ha abierto en Adobe Illustrator con otros archivos. Por ejemplo, con una versión anterior del mismo archivo. 交互陷印：此工具提供了一种陷印操作模式，可对所选颜色的陷印直接做出响应。用户可将指定的陷印应用于特定颜色。除了自动陷印中提供的各项参数之外，交互陷印还具有用于“全部外扩”/“全部内缩”或“部分外扩”/“部分内缩”陷印操作的附加参数。

深黑色陷印：要创建较暗的印刷效果，请使用此工具将另一种油墨添加到深色（通常为黑色）。 

白色叠印陷印：要在金属或透明材料上印刷时创建白色背景，需要使用白色油墨作为中性基底，从而使印刷在表层的其他油墨具有正确的外观。通过使用此工具，您可以设置叠印的外扩或内缩宽度。或者，可以选择忽略对象的油墨颜色或白色，并且将不执行叠印。您还可以将白色叠印功能用于上光和镀铜等修整任务。

变形 (Warp) 工具

变形工具可提供失真功能 - 您可以为 Adobe Illustrator 创建和更改对象的网格。有三种可用的变形类型：
