Two types of installation

Your copy of Preps software may be:

• Integrated with Prinergy Workflow software or Prinergy Evo software
• A standalone installation

Integrated installations

You do not need to perform the installation procedure on this page.

If your version of Preps 11.x is integrated and supported with Kodak Prinergy Workflow 11.x, it will be automatically installed/updated in the Workshop directory when the installer is run on the client workstation. Preps 11.x is also supported with Prinergy Evo 8.2 and later.

The templates, marks, resources, and printers folders will be located in the AraxiPreps volume on the Prinergy server. To convert legacy jobs and templates, run the Preps Template Migration Utility.

The PrepsPrinergy.cfg profile is used when launching Preps from Workshop. For information about modifying the configuration file settings, see Answer ID 72524 in your support portal (login required).

Standalone installations

Use the procedure on this page to install Preps independently of Prinergy Workflow Software on the client workstation.

The templates, marks, resources, and printers folders will be located locally. To convert legacy jobs and templates, run the Preps Template Migration Utility.

The default profile will be used when launching Preps from a standalone installation. To migrate configuration settings, run the Preps Migration Utility.

Important: Do not attempt to overwrite or install Preps on Prinergy Workflow Clients on the AraxiPreps share of a Prinergy Workflow server.

To install Preps software:

1. Log on to your computer as an administrator.
2. If an existing copy of the Preps software is already installed:
   1. Store a backup copy of the existing Preps installation folder in another location.
   2. Ensure that the software is not running when you start the installation.
3. Log on to Kodak Partner Place.
4. On the Partner Place home page, select Service & Support > Prepress Software Downloads.

5. Search for Preps 11.x downloads, and download the Preps 11.x. Installer for your operating system to your workstation.

6. Browse to the location where you stored the installer file and double-click it.
   The Installation Wizard appears. 

7. In the Installation Wizard, follow the instructions.
   Note: A computer restart may be required.

Installations autonomes

Pour installer le logiciel Preps :

1. Connectez-vous à votre ordinateur en tant qu’administrateur.
2. Si une copie existante du logiciel Preps est déjà installée :
   1. Stockez une copie de sauvegarde du dossier d’installation Preps existant dans un autre emplacement.
   2. Assurez-vous que le logiciel n'est pas en cours d'exécution lorsque vous démarrez l'installation.
3. Connectez-vous à Kodak Partner Place .
4. Sur la page d’accueil de Partner Place, sélectionnez  Service et assistance  >  Téléchargements de logiciels de prépresse .

5. Recherchez les téléchargements Preps 11.x et téléchargez le programme d'installation de Preps 11.x pour votre système d'exploitation sur votre poste de travail.

6. Accédez à l'emplacement où vous avez enregistré le fichier d'installation et double-cliquez dessus.
   L'assistant d'installation apparaît. 

7. Dans l'assistant d'installation, suivez les instructions.
   Remarque : un redémarrage de l'ordinateur peut être nécessaire.
   En raison des paramètres de sécurité, vous pouvez rencontrer un message d'avertissement lors de l'installation de Preps sur un système d'exploitation Mac : « Preps.pkg ne peut pas être ouvert car Apple ne peut pas le vérifier pour détecter d'éventuels logiciels malveillants ». 
8. Si vous rencontrez le message d'avertissement, effectuez ces actions :
   1. Dans Préférences Système > Sécurité et confidentialité > Sécurité , cliquez sur l’icône de verrouillage et entrez le mot de passe de l’administrateur pour déverrouiller les paramètres.
   2. Définissez Autoriser les applications téléchargées depuis l' App Store et les développeurs identifiés .
   3. Preps.pkg apparaît ci-dessous. Choisissez Ouvrir quand même .
9. Le cas échéant, utilisez l' outil Utilitaire de migration pour copier les paramètres de configuration précédents d'une copie sauvegardée vers le nouveau dossier d'installation. Pour plus d'informations,

10. Obtenez une licence pour votre logiciel Preps de l'une des manières suivantes :

• Utilisez une licence flottante fournie par votre logiciel Prinergy Workflow, si disponible.

Standalone-Installationen

So installieren Sie die Preps-Software:

   Aufgrund von Sicherheitseinstellungen kann bei der Installation von Preps auf einem Mac OS die Warnmeldung „ Preps.pkg kann nicht geöffnet werden, da Apple es nicht auf Schadsoftware prüfen kann “ angezeigt werden. 
8. Wenn die Warnmeldung angezeigt wird, führen Sie die folgenden Aktionen aus:
   1. Klicken Sie unter „Systemeinstellungen“ > „Sicherheit und Datenschutz“ > „Sicherheit“ auf das Schlosssymbol und geben Sie das Administratorkennwort ein, um die Einstellungen zu entsperren.
   2. Legen Sie „Herunterladen von Anwendungen aus dem App Store zulassen“ und „Identifizierte Entwickler“ fest .
   3. Preps.pkg wird unten angezeigt. Wählen Sie „Trotzdem öffnen“ aus .
9. Verwenden Sie ggf. das Migrationsdienstprogramm , um vorherige Konfigurationseinstellungen aus einer gesicherten Kopie in den neuen Installationsordner zu kopieren. Weitere Einzelheiten

10. Lizenzieren Sie Ihre Preps-Software auf eine der folgenden Arten:

• Verwenden Sie eine Floating-Lizenz Ihrer Prinergy Workflow-Software (sofern verfügbar).

Preps und Adobe-Softwarekomponenten

スタンドアロンインストール

As pastas templates, marks, resources e printers estarão localizadas localmente. Para converter trabalhos e templates legados, execute o  Preps Template Migration Utility .

O perfil padrão será usado ao iniciar o Preps a partir de uma instalação autônoma. Para migrar as definições de configuração, execute o Preps Migration Utility .

Importante:  Não tente substituir ou instalar o Preps em clientes do Prinergy Workflow no compartilhamento AraxiPreps de um servidor Prinergy Workflow.

Para instalar o software Preps:

1. Efetue login no seu computador como administrador.
2. Se uma cópia existente do software Preps já estiver instalada:
   1. Armazene uma cópia de backup da pasta de instalação existente do Preps em outro local.
   2. Certifique-se de que o software não esteja em execução quando você iniciar a instalação.
3. Faça login no Kodak Partner Place .
4. Na página inicial do Partner Place, selecione  Serviço e suporte  >  Downloads de software de pré-impressão .

5. Procure por downloads do Preps 11.x e baixe o instalador do Preps 11.x para seu sistema operacional na sua estação de trabalho.

6. Navegue até o local onde você armazenou o arquivo do instalador e clique duas vezes nele.
   O Assistente de Instalação aparece. 

7. No Assistente de Instalação, siga as instruções.
   Nota: Pode ser necessário reiniciar o computador.
   Devido às configurações de segurança, você pode encontrar uma mensagem de aviso ao instalar o Preps em um Mac OS " Preps.pkg não pode ser aberto porque a Apple não pode verificar se há software malicioso ". 
8. Se você encontrar a mensagem de aviso, execute estas ações:
   1. Em Preferências do Sistema > Segurança e Privacidade > Segurança , clique no ícone de cadeado e digite a senha do administrador para desbloquear as configurações.
   2. Defina Permitir aplicativos baixados da App Store e Desenvolvedores identificados .
   3. Preps.pkg aparece abaixo. Escolha Open Anyway .
9. Se aplicável, use a ferramenta Migration Utility para copiar as configurações anteriores de uma cópia de backup para a nova pasta de instalação.

10. Licencie seu software Preps de uma das seguintes maneiras:

• Use uma licença flutuante fornecida pelo seu software Prinergy Workflow, se disponível.
• Use a opção de licenciamento de software.

Componentes de software Preps e Adobe

O Preps 11.x inclui a versão 10 do software Adobe PDF Library para leitura, modificação e gravação de documentos PDF. Para usar a Adobe PDF Library em vez do mecanismo PDF interno do Preps, adicione esta configuração ao seu Preps Profile:
-Use_PPT_PDFLIB:YES

Si su versión de Preps 11.x está integrada y es compatible con Kodak Prinergy Workflow 11.x, se instalará o actualizará automáticamente en el directorio de Workshop cuando se ejecute el instalador en la estación de trabajo cliente. Preps 11.x también es compatible con Prinergy Evo 8.2 y versiones posteriores.

Las carpetas de plantillas, marcas, recursos e impresoras se ubicarán en el volumen AraxiPreps del servidor Prinergy. Para convertir trabajos y plantillas heredados, ejecute la Utilidad de migración de plantillas de Preps .

Instalaciones independientes

Utilice el procedimiento de esta página para instalar  Preps independientemente del software de flujo de trabajo Prinergy en la estación de trabajo cliente.

Se utilizará el perfil predeterminado al iniciar Preps desde una instalación independiente. Para migrar los ajustes de configuración, ejecute la Utilidad de migración de Preps .

Importante:  No intente sobrescribir ni instalar Preps en clientes de flujo de trabajo de Prinergy en el recurso compartido AraxiPreps de un servidor de flujo de trabajo de Prinergy.

Para instalar el software Preps:

1. Inicie sesión en su computadora como administrador.
2. Si ya está instalada una copia existente del software Preps:
   1. Guarde una copia de seguridad de la carpeta de instalación de Preps existente en otra ubicación.
   2. Asegúrese de que el software no esté ejecutándose cuando inicie la instalación.
3. Inicie sesión en Kodak Partner Place .
4. En la página de inicio de Partner Place, seleccione  Servicio y soporte  >  Descargas de software de preimpresión .

5. Busque descargas de Preps 11.x y descargue el instalador de Preps 11.x para su sistema operativo en su estación de trabajo.

   Aparecerá el Asistente de instalación. 

7. En el Asistente de instalación, siga las instrucciones.
   Nota: Es posible que sea necesario reiniciar el equipo.
   Debido a la configuración de seguridad, es posible que aparezca un mensaje de advertencia al instalar Preps en un sistema operativo Mac: " No se puede abrir Preps.pkg porque Apple no puede comprobar si contiene software malicioso ". 
8. Si aparece el mensaje de advertencia, realice estas acciones:
   1. En Preferencias del Sistema > Seguridad y privacidad > Seguridad , haga clic en el ícono del candado e ingrese la contraseña del administrador para desbloquear la configuración.
   2. Establecer Permitir aplicaciones descargadas desde App Store y Desarrolladores identificados .
   3. Preps.pkg aparece a continuación. Seleccione Abrir de todas formas .
9. Si corresponde, utilice la herramienta Utilidad de migración para copiar los ajustes de configuración anteriores desde una copia de seguridad a la nueva carpeta de instalación.

10. Obtenga la licencia de su software Preps de una de las siguientes maneras:
