JDF requirements for job creation

JDF files are expected to comply with the specifications that are defined here.

  • JDF files require either a .jdf or .xml file name extension.
  • JDF data must be formatted according to the JDF Specification version 1.2.
  • The JDF documents (files) must be correctly structured.
  • The JDF contents must be limited to the accepted data fields.

Tip: If you must prepare JDF files for Business Link and are unfamiliar with JDF, copy and use the examples that are provided.
