Proofer Name

Type the name of the proofer, up to 32 characters. The name can contain letters, numbers, and hyphens. The first character of the name cannot be a hyphen.

This is the name that appears in the Proofer Finder.

Comments

If you want, type a comment for this proofer. A comment is options and is displayed in the Proofers tab.

Caption Format

Select the Date & Time format and the Language that is used when printing the caption information on the proof.

Label Type

Select the label type that is connected to this proofer. Labels are required for the Certified Process for Color Confirmation.

This option is only available for Matchprint Inkjet proofers.

LabelWriter connected to

The LabelWriter connected to option is used with offline spectrophotometers (for example, the X-Rite i1), label printers, and the Certified Process for Color Confirmation. When you are using an offline spectrophotometer to measure color bars for the Certified Process for Color Confirmation, you can specify where to connect the label printer.

When you have an inline spectrophotometer and an offline spectrophotometer, you can use the offline spectrophotometer to measure all color bars for Certified Process for Color Confirmation. With an offline spectrophotometer, you can connect the label printer to the hardware that is closest to where you measure color bars.

  • Select Client workstationand connect the label printer to the client workstation.
  • Select Controllerand connect the label printer to the Proofer Controller.

Note: If you are using an Epson Stylus Pro x900 printer with an inline spectrophotometer, the printer can print the label directly on the proof. You don't need to use the label printer. Use the Layout Editor to turn on this feature.

This option is only available for Matchprint Inkjet proofers.

Networked IP Address

This option is only available for Kodak Matchprint Inkjet proofers.

Shows whether the proofer is a local proofer connected using USB or if it is a network proofer.
