New features and enhancements

This section lists features and enhancements that were added in this release.

New licensing

InSite Prepress Portal 8.0 introduces a new type of licensing technology that does not require hardware dongles for verification. Instead, your InSite server will contact the KODAK Product License and Activation System (PLAS) in the background on a regular basis to keep your system licenses up to date. An internet connection is required for automatic maintenance of your licenses. If your server is not connected to the internet, you can follow the offline process that is described below. When upgrading to version 8.0, you must also upgrade your license.

Display the Preflight+ information 

The Preflight+ comments generated in Prinergy can now be viewed in Prepress Portal 8.0.

Preflight+ works similar to Advanced Preflight with InSite Prepress Portal Smart Review. We display the information based on the profile you have created for Preflight+ in the Prinergy Refine process plan. Now, there are two options in Preflight+. Preflight on the input file or the Normalized file. InSite Prepress Portal supports Preflight+ based on the Normalized files option.

Note: You must select the XML reporting option in the Prinergy Refine Process Plan > Preflight+ > Run Preflight+ on normalized files for the Preflight+ information to be displayed in Smart Review.

HTML5-based Preview tool

In earlier versions of the Prepress Portal system, you could use the Flash-based Preview tool to review and approve pages. In Prepress Portal 8.0, the Flash-based Preview tool has been replaced with an HTML5-based Preview tool.
The HTML5-based Preview tool is an integral part of the Prepress Portal software.

• New graphic user interface for the Preview tool
  The HTML5-based Preview tool introduces a new and streamlined user interface. The Preview user interface has been redesigned and reorganized to provide the user with an up-to-date and user-friendly experience.

HTML5-based Arrange Pages

In earlier versions of the Prepress Portal system, you could use the Flash-based Arrange Pages option to assign pages to positions in page sets. In Prepress Portal 8.0, the Arrange Pages option is now based on HTML5.

HTML5-based Learning Center

In earlier versions of the Prepress Portal system, you could use the Flash-based Learning Center to supply documentation or other learning materials to your customers. In Prepress Portal 8.0, the Learning Center is now based on HTML5.

Two new annotation tools 

The Multi Shape annotation tool has been added to the annotation tool bar. You can use the Multi Shape annotation tool to draw a few free-form shapes at the same instance.

In addition the Square Ruler has been added to the annotation tool bar. You can use the Square Ruler to measure an image.

Approve or reject an annotation 

After you or another user adds an annotation to an image, you can now set the approval status for the annotation. You can set the approval status for text and shape annotations only. You cannot set the approval status for guides, measurements, or color density readings.

Annotation numbering 

In Smart Review, when you create a new annotation, an annotation number is now added to each annotation box. You can filter the annotations by the number.

Copy an annotation between pages 

In Smart Review, you can now copy a whole text or shape annotation from one page to another and create a new annotation on the target image. Copying annotations enables you to quickly apply the same annotation to multiple pages. For example, you might want to do this if you need to approve several similar pages and you want to add the same annotation to all of the pages.

Note: You can select and copy multiple annotations at the same time.

Show Annotation comments on canvas

A new option, Show Annotation comments on canvas, has been added to the Smart Review preferences. When you select this option, the text or shape dialog box in which you type your comment, will stay open on the canvas.

Align views in Compare mode

When you compare images of different sizes in Compare mode, you can now use the Align Views feature to align a specific point on one image with a specific point on the other image. This is useful when you are comparing two images that are identical except for their page dimensions or positioning on each page—for example, two revisions of the same element.

Set the annotation status for multiple annotations at the same time

You can now set the annotation status for multiple annotations at the same time. In the Annotations panel, select all the relevant annotations (using the Ctrl key) and set their status.

Rotate an image in Compare mode 

When you compare images of different orientations in Compare mode, you can use the Rotate feature to rotate only one image. This is useful when you are comparing two files that are identical except for their image orientations.

Support of Layered PDF versioning (LPV) with both Advanced Preflight and Preflight+

Preflight+ works similar to Advanced Preflight with InSite Prepress Portal Smart Review. We display the information based on the profile you have created for Preflight+ in the Prinergy Refine process plan. Now, there are two options in Preflight+. Preflight on the input file or the Normalized file. InSite Prepress Portal supports Preflight+ based on the Normalized files option.

Note: You must select the XML reporting option in the Prinergy Refine Process Plan > Preflight+ > Run Preflight+ on normalized files for the Preflight+ information to be displayed in Smart Review.

Secure Link online users

You can now view the Secure Link online users, in addition to staff and customer users, at InSite Administration page > System Activity > Online Users.

Zwei neue Annotations-Tools 

Das Annotations-Tool Multi Shape wurde zur Annotations-Symbolleiste hinzugefügt. Sie können das Annotations-Tool Multi Shape verwenden, um gleichzeitig einige freie Formen zu zeichnen.

Zusätzlich wurde der Square Ruler zur Annotations-Symbolleiste hinzugefügt. Sie können den Square Ruler verwenden, um ein Bild abzumessen.

Eine Annotation genehmigen oder ablehnen

Über das Kopieren von Annotationen können Sie die gleiche Annotation rasch auf mehrere Seiten anwenden. Sie könnten dies beispielsweise tun, wenn Sie mehrere ähnliche Seiten genehmigen müssen und alle Seiten gleich annotieren möchten.

Hinweis: Sie können mehrere Annotationen gleichzeitig auswählen und kopieren.

Anmerkungskommentare auf Canvas anzeigen

Eine neue Option Anmerkungskommentare auf Canvas anzeigen wurde zu den Smart Review-Einstellungen hinzugefügt. Wenn Sie diese Option auswählen, bleibt das Text- oder Formen-Dialogfeld, in das Sie Ihren Kommentar eingeben, im Canvas geöffnet.

Ansichten im Vergleichsmodus ausrichten

Beim Vergleichen von Bildern unterschiedlicher Größe im Vergleichsmodus können Sie die Bilder nun mit der neuen Schaltfläche Ansichten ausrichten anhand eines bestimmten Punktes in beiden Bildern aneinander ausrichten. Dies ist praktisch, wenn Sie zwei Bilder miteinander vergleichen, die mit Ausnahme der Bildabmessungen oder der Positionierung auf jeder Seite identisch sind, beispielsweise zwei Überarbeitungen des gleichen Elements.

Nuevo sistema de licencias

Dos nuevas herramientas de anotación 

La herramienta de anotación Multiformas se ha añadido a la barra de herramientas de anotación. Puede utilizar la herramienta de anotación Multiformas para dibujar algunas formas libres en la misma instancia.

Adicionalmente, también se ha añadido una Regla cuadrada a la barra de herramientas de anotación. Puede utilizar la Regla cuadrada para medir una imagen.

Aprobación o rechazo de una anotación 

Ahora, cuando usted u otro usuario añadan una anotación a una imagen, podrán definir el estado de aprobación de la anotación. Solo se puede definir el estado de aprobación para las anotaciones de texto y de forma. No se puede definir el estado de aprobación para las guías, las mediciones o las lecturas de densidad del color.

Numeración de las anotaciones 

En Smart Review, cuando se crea una nueva anotación, ahora se añade un número de anotación a cada cuadro de anotación. Las anotaciones se pueden filtrar por número.

Copia de anotaciones entre páginas 

En Smart Review, ahora puede copiar una anotación de texto o de forma completa de una página a otra y crear una nueva anotación en la imagen de destino. La función de copia de anotaciones permite aplicar rápidamente una misma anotación a varias páginas. Por ejemplo, esta función puede utilizarse si quiere aprobar varias páginas parecidas y desea añadir la misma anotación a todas ellas.

Nota: Se pueden seleccionar y copiar varias anotaciones al mismo tiempo.

Muestra de comentarios de anotación en el lienzo

Se ha añadido una nueva opción, Mostrar comentarios de anotación en el lienzo, a las preferencias de Smart Review. Cuando se selecciona esta opción, el cuadro de diálogo de texto o de forma que se utiliza para introducir el comentario permanecerá abierto en el lienzo.

Alineación de vistas en el modo de comparación

Al comparar imágenes de distintos tamaños en el modo de comparación, ahora puede utilizarse la función Alinear vistas para alinear un punto específico de una imagen con uno de otra imagen. Esto resulta útil para comparar dos imágenes que son idénticas, a excepción de las dimensiones de la página o su posicionamiento en cada una de las páginas (por ejemplo, dos revisiones de un mismo elemento).

Definición del estado de varias anotaciones al mismo tiempo

Ahora puede definir el estado de varias anotaciones al mismo tiempo. En el panel Anotaciones, seleccione todas las anotaciones relevantes (utilizando la tecla Ctrl) y defina su estado.

Nouveau système de concession de licence

InSite Prepress Portal 8.0 introduit un nouveau type de technologie de concession de licence ne nécessitant pas de dongle matériel de vérification. Deux nouveaux outils d'annotation

Approuver ou rejeter une annotation 

Après que vous ou un autre utilisateur avez ajouté une annotation sur une image, vous pouvez désormais définir l'état d'approbation pour l'annotation. Vous pouvez définir l'état d'approbation uniquement pour les annotations de texte et de forme. Vous ne pouvez pas définir l'état d'approbation pour les guides, les mesures ou les valeurs de densité de couleur.

Numérotation des annotations 

Dans Smart Review, lorsque vous créez une nouvelle annotation, un numéro d'annotation est désormais ajouté à chaque zone d'annotation. Vous pouvez filtrer les annotations par numéro.

Copier une annotation entre des pages 

Dans Smart Review, vous pouvez maintenant copier une annotation complète de texte ou de forme d'une page à l'autre, et créer une nouvelle annotation sur l'image cible. La copie d'annotations vous permet d'appliquer rapidement la même annotation sur plusieurs pages. Par exemple, vous pouvez en avoir besoin si vous devez approuver plusieurs pages semblables et voulez ajouter la même annotation sur toutes les pages.

Remarque : Vous pouvez sélectionner et copier plusieurs annotations en même temps.

Afficher les commentaires des annotations sur le canevas

Une nouvelle option, Afficher les commentaires des annotations sur le canevas, a été ajoutée dans les préférences de Smart Review. Lorsque vous sélectionnez cette option, la boîte de dialogue du texte ou de la forme dans laquelle vous saisissez votre commentaire restera ouverte sur le canevas.

Aligner les vues en mode Comparer

Nuova gestione delle licenze

InSite Prepress Portal 8.0 introduce un nuovo tipo di tecnologia per la gestione delle licenze che non richiede dongle hardware per la verifica. Al contrario, il server InSite contatterà regolarmente KODAK PLAS (Product License and Activation System) in background per tenere aggiornate le licenze del sistema. Per la manutenzione automatica delle licenze è necessaria la connessione a Internet. Se il server non è connesso a Internet, è possibile completare il processo offline descritto di seguito. Quando si esegue l'aggiornamento alla versione 8.0, è necessario aggiornare anche la licenza.

Approvazione o rifiuto di un'annotazione 

Dopo aver aggiunto un'annotazione a un'immagine, è ora possibile impostare lo stato di approvazione per l'annotazione. È possibile impostare lo stato di approvazione solo per le annotazioni di testo e forme. Non è possibile impostare lo stato di approvazione per guide, misurazioni o letture della densità di colore.

Numerazione delle annotazioni 

In Smart Review, dopo aver creato una nuova annotazione, un numero di annotazione viene aggiunto a ciascuna casella di annotazione. È possibile filtrare le annotazioni per numero.

Copia di un'annotazione da una pagina pagine

Nova licença

O InSite Prepress Portal 8.0 apresenta um novo tipo de tecnologia de licenças que não exige dongles de hardware para verificação. Além disso, o Esquadro foi adicionado à barra de ferramentas de anotação. Use o Esquadro para medir uma imagem.

Aprovar ou rejeitar uma anotação 

Depois que você ou outro usuário adicionar uma anotação a uma imagem, agora é possível definir o status de aprovação dela. Você pode definir o status de aprovação somente de anotações em texto e formas. Não é possível definir o status de aprovação de guias, medições ou leituras de densidade de cor.

Numeração da anotação 

No Smart Review, quando você cria uma nova anotação, um número é adicionado a cada caixa. Você pode filtrar as anotações pelo número.

Copiar uma anotação entre páginas 

No Smart Review, agora você pode copiar uma anotação inteira de texto ou forma de uma página em outra, depois criar uma nova anotação na imagem de destino. Copiar anotações possibilita aplicar rapidamente a mesma anotação em diversas páginas. Por exemplo, você pode fazer isso quando precisar aprovar diversas páginas semelhantes e quiser adicionar a mesma anotação a todas elas.

以前のバージョンの Prepress Portal システムでは、Flash ベースのプレビュー ツールを使用して、ページの確認や承認を行うことができました。Prepress Portal 8.0 では、Flash ベースのプレビュー ツールが、HTML5 ベースのプレビュー ツールに置き換えられています。
HTML5 ベースのプレビュー ツールは、Prepress Portal ソフトウェアの不可欠な要素になっています。

HTML5 ベースで配置されたページ

以前のバージョンの Prepress Portal システムでは、Flash ベースの［ ページ の配置］オプションを使用して、ページをページ セット内の位置に割り当てることができました。Prepress Portal 8.0 では、［ページの配置］オプションは 次と等しい HTML5 ベースになりました。

2 つの新しい注釈ツール

注釈ツール バーに、マルチ形状注釈ツールが追加されました。マルチ形状注釈ツールを使用して、同じインスタンス内で複数の図形を自由に描画できます。

さらに直角ルーラーが、注釈ツール バーに追加されました。直角ルーラーを使用して、画像を測定することができます。

注釈の承認または却下

自分自身または他のユーザーが注釈を画像に追加した後で、その注釈の承認ステータスを設定できるようになりました。承認ステータスは、テキストと図形の注釈に対してのみ設定できます。ガイド、測定値、およびカラー濃度の測定値に対して承認ステータスを設定することはできません。

注釈の番号付け

Smart Review では、新しい注釈を作成すると、注釈番号が各注釈ボックスに追加されるようになりました。注釈はこの番号でフィルタリングできます。

ページ間の注釈コピー 

Smart Review では、テキストまたは図形の注釈全体を、任意のページから別のページにコピーして、ターゲット画像上に新しい注釈を作成できるようになりました。注釈をコピーすることにより、複数のページに同じ注釈を簡単に適用できます。たとえば、複数の類似のページを承認する必要があり、それらのすべてのページに同じ注釈を追加する場合に、この機能を使用することができます。

注意：一度に複数の注釈を選択してコピーすることもできます。

キャンバスに注釈コメントを表示

Smart Review の環境設定に、新しいオプション［キャンバスに注釈コメントを表示］が追加されました。このオプションを選択すると、テキストまたは図形のコメント入力ダイアログ ボックスが、キャンバス上で開いたままになります。

比較表示でのビューの配置

比較表示で異なるサイズの画像を比較する場合、現在では、ビューの配置機能を使用して、一方の画像の特定の場所を他方の画像の特定の場所に合わせて配置することができます。この機能は、ページのサイズまたは各ページの配置を除き、同一の 2 つの画像（たとえば同じエレメントの 2 つの更新履歴）を比較する場合に便利です。

同時に複数の注釈に対して注釈のステータスを設定する

複数の注釈に注釈ステータスを同時に設定できるようになりました。［注釈］パネルで関連するすべての注釈を選択し（Ctrl キーを使用して）、ステータスを設定します。

比較表示での画像の回転

比較表示で、異なる向きの画像を比較する場合、回転機能を使用して、1 つの画像のみを回転できます。この機能は、画像の向きを除き、同一の 2 つのファイルを比較する場合に便利です。

アドバンス プリフライトおよび Preflight+ の両方でのレイヤー PDF バージョニング（LPV）のサポート

Preflight+ は、InSite Prepress Portal Smart Review でのアドバンス プリフライトと同様に機能します。情報は、Prinergy リファイン プロセス プランで Preflight+ 用に作成したプロファイルに基づいて表示されます。現在、Preflight+ には、2 つのオプションが用意されています。入力ファイルのプリフライトとノーマライズされたファイルのプリフライトです。InSite Prepress Portal は、ノーマライズされたファイル オプションに基づいて Preflight+ をサポートします。
