Customer files are the input source files that you use to produce the final printed product.
Important: The Prinergy Evo Server computer must have read, write, and modify privileges on the folder from which you submit input files to Prinergy Evo. Kodak recommends that It is a best practice to put your input files sit on the Prinergy Evo server computer and you mount to them from your Prinergy Evo client computer. 

You can bring files with the following formats directly into Prinergy Evo:

• PDF 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 (separated or composite) generated by qualified software, for example, Acrobat software
• PDF/X-1a:2001
• PDF/X-3
• PostScript Level 1, PostScript Level 2, and PostScript Level 3 (separated or composite)
• EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)
• DCS and DCS2 (both single- and multi-file versions)
• Populated job tickets in PJTF and JDF format (from Preps or Kodak Pandora step-and-repeat software)
• One-bit TIFF

The following input formats are also supported if you have a licensed CEPS JTP:.  When generating CT/LW and TIFF/IT files for Prinergy Evo, you must ensure they are trapped and color-matched before you add them to Prinergy Evo.

• CT/LW (Brisque software and PS/M 5 and up) - includes New, Native, and Handshake formats of CT and LW
• TIFF/IT-P1

The CEPS JTP allows you to convert handshake CT/LW pages. To use CT/LW files that the CEPS JTP cannot convert, you must first use the Translate function on the Brisque software to convert the files to a Brisque page.

The CEPS Conversion section of a Refine process template defines how Prinergy Evo handles Brisque CT/LW or TIFF/IT-P1 input files. The CEPS JTP can be used to convert CT/LW and TIFF/IT to PDF files. Alternatively, you can use CEPSLink or another third-party product to convert CT/LW and TIFF/IT files into EPS or DCS formats. Composite files are preferred, but separated files such as those created with QuarkXPress software, InDesign software, or PageMaker software, are also acceptable. However, the separations set in separated input files cannot be modified in the system. With composite input files, you can decide at the last minute how you want to output colors. If you require trapping and color matching, you must use composite input files. You can mix composite and separated files in the same input file.

Customer files can be stored on any server or disk to which the Prinergy Evo server computer has read, write, and modify access.
