Use the JDF tab in the Preferences dialog box to define how the software automates JDF-based jobs, and optionally save the settings in a custom profile.

In Mac OS: Select Preps > Preferences > JDF.

In Microsoft Windows: Select Edit > Preferences > JDF.

Signature Creation

Choose the automation method used to build the Press Runs List:

Match only

Always attempt to build the Press Runs List by matching the requirements to existing template signatures, and never automatically create press-run layouts. This is also known as auto signature matching (ASM).

Create only

Always build the Press Runs List by autocreating the layouts; ignore any templates that are in the Templates folder. This is also known as auto signature creation (ASC).

Match then create

Always build the Press Runs List by first mtaching the requirements to existing template signatures (ASC), and create a press-run layout only when unable to find a match (ASC).

Matching Criteria

Choose the characteristics that will be used as criteria for matching the source JDF values to the automatically selected or generated template signatures: 

Check sheet size

Matches only to template signatures that use the same press sheet size (stock) as specified in the source JDF

Check work style

Matches only to template signatures that use the same work style as specified in the source JDF

Match finishing properties to fold pattern templates

If the source JDF specifies finishing property values such as trims, matches only to a template signature that uses a fold pattern, and ignores any gutter-based impositions

Check head and foot trim

Available only if Match finishing properties to fold pattern templates is selected. Matches only to a template signature that uses the same head and foot trim values as specified in the source JDF. 

Check fold pattern

Matches only to a template signature that uses the same fold pattern as specified in the source JDF

Check fold orientation

Available only if Check fold orientation is selected. Matches only to a template signature that uses the same fold pattern with the same rotate and flip coordinates as specified in the source JDF. The bindery uses this information to transform the production signature as it comes off the press to its final product orientation.

Match Tolerance

Decrease this tolerance to a stricter level for more precise matching, or increase it to a more lenient level to increase the likelihood of successful matching.

Signature Creation Marks

Add SmartMarks based on mark rules

Select this check box when you are ready to activate your mark rules.

Add JDF error marks

Clear this check box to suppress error messages in text marks, which can appear when the JDF geometry specifications include incomplete or inconsistent information. If this check box is selected, you can manually delete the error marks.

Error Mark Tolerance

If Add JDF error marks is selected, set the tolerance level to "allow" before adding the error mark.

Use bleed values in JDF

The bleed values defined in the JDF will be honored when the JDF is imported into Preps.

Remove all marks

When referencing or matching an existing Preps template in your MIS JDF, you can select this option to remove all marks on the existing template and replace them with SmartMarks based on marks rules.

Wenn in der Quell-JDF nur Werte von Weiterverarbeitungseigenschaften wie Beschnitte festgelegt sind, werden diese nur zu einem Standbogen im Einteilungsbogen zugeordnet, der ein Falzmuster verwendet. Alle stegbasierten Ausschießschemata werden ignoriert.

Kopf- und Fußbeschnitt überprüfen

Steht nur bei Auswahl von Weiterverarbeitungseigenschaften zu Falzmuster-Einteilungsbogen zuordnen zur Verfügung. Die Zuordnung erfolgt nur zu einem Standbogen im Einteilungsbogen, der die gleichen Kopf- und Fußbeschnittwerte verwendet, die in der Quell-JDF angegeben sind.

Standbogen erstellen – Marken

SmartMarks auf Basis von Markenregeln hinzufügen

JDF-Fehlermarken hinzufügen

Deaktivieren Sie dieses Kontrollkästchen, um Fehlermeldungen in Textmarken zu unterdrücken. Diese können auftreten, wenn die JDF-Geometrieangaben unvollständige oder widersprüchliche Informationen enthalten. Wenn dieses Kontrollkästchen aktiviert ist, können Sie die Fehlermarken manuell löschen.

Il software crea sempre l'Elenco cicli di stampa creando automaticamente i layout, ma ignora tutti i modelli presenti nella cartella Modelli. Questa modalità è chiamata anche abbinamento automatico delle segnature o ASM (Auto Signature Matching).

Abbina quindi crea

Il software crea sempre l'Elenco cicli di stampa prima abbinando i requisiti alle segnature dei modelli esistenti (ASC), quindi creando un layout per il ciclo di stampa quando non è in grado di trovare un abbinamento (ASC).

Criteri di abbinamento

Scegliere le caratteristiche che verranno utilizzate come criteri per abbinare i valori JDF di origine alle segnature dei moduli selezionate o generate automaticamente: 

Verifica formato del foglio

Vengono ricercate solo le segnature dei modelli che utilizzano le dimensioni del foglio di stampa (stock) specificate nel file JDF di origine.

Verifica stile di lavoro

Vengono ricercate solo le segnature dei modelli che utilizzano lo stile del foglio di stampa specificato nel file JDF di origine.

Abbina proprietà di finitura con i modelli degli schemi di piegatura

Se il file JDF di origine contiene valori per la proprietà di finitura, come i tagli, è possibile ricercare solo le segnature dei modelli che utilizzano uno schema di piegatura e ignorare le imposizioni basate su bianchi tipografici.

Verifica taglio piede e testa

Disponibile solo se è selezionata l'opzione Abbina proprietà di finitura con i modelli degli schemi di piegatura. È possibile ricercare solo le segnature dei modelli che utilizzano i valori per i tagli di intestazione e piè di pagina specificati nel file JDF di origine. 

Modifica schema di piegatura

Vengono ricercate solo le segnature dei modelli che utilizzano lo schema di piegatura specificato nel file JDF di origine.

Verifica orientamento piegatura

Disponibile solo se si seleziona Verifica orientamento piegatura. È possibile ricercare solo le segnature dei modelli che utilizzano lo schema di piegatura con le coordinate di rotazione e inversione specificate nel file JDF di origine. La legatoria utilizza queste informazioni per trasformare la segnatura della produzione al momento dell'uscita dalla macchina da stampa nell'orientamento finale del prodotto.

Abbina tolleranza

Consente di ridurre la tolleranza a un livello più restrittivo per garantire un abbinamento più preciso oppure di incrementarla a un livello più flessibile per aumentare la probabilità di un abbinamento corretto.

Aggiungi SmartMark in base alle regole dei segni

Selezionare questa casella di controllo quando si è pronti ad attivare le regole dei marchi.

Aggiungi segni errori JDF

Deselezionare questa casella di controllo per rimuovere i messaggi di errore nei segni di testo, che possono apparire quando le specifiche della geometria JDF comprendono informazioni incomplete o incoerenti. Se questa casella di controllo è selezionata, è possibile eliminare manualmente i segni degli errori.

Errore tolleranza segni

Se si seleziona la casella di controllo Aggiungi segni errori JDF, è possibile impostare il livello di tolleranza consentito prima dell'aggiunta del segno di errore.

Usa valori margini al vivo in JDF

I valori margini definiti in JDF verranno applicati durante l'importanzione del JDF in Preps.

Rimuovi tutti i segni

Se si utilizza come riferimento o si abbina un modello Preps esistente nel MIS JDF, è possibile selezionare questa opzione per rimuovere tutti i segni sul modello esistente e sostituirli con SmartMarks in base alle regole dei segni.
