Select File > Print, select a media and output type that support color handling, select PDF color mapping, and click the Color Separations tab.

Description

Color list and check boxes

Lists all the colors in the output, including CMYK process colors, spot colors, and mark SSiCustomColors.
All process and spot colors print by default.
In JDF output, to prevent unexpected results with spot colors that are set in the input files to overprint, turn spot colors off.

Output As

Indicates the color separation on which to print all of the page content that uses the selected color. Each process color and each spot color maps by default to its own separation.
To map the color to another color separation, select the color in the Output As list. To map a spot color to its process equivalents, select Process Colors.

Overprint/Knockout

Derived from the PDF input files; cannot be changed. SSiCustomColors in marks are set by default to pass through as overprint.

Pass through

Retains the input file settings for the selected color. By default, all colors are set to pass through without overprinting or knocking out.

Overprint

Use with care. Prints the selected color on top of other colors, and can result in a totally different color.

Knockout

Use with care. Knocks out a space for the selected color on the other separations, and retains its original color.

Line Screen

You can apply one line screen to each color separation. For mapped spot colors, the line screens for each of the process colors apply.

Screen Angle

When you use a line screen that is not defined in a PPD or PPX file, screen angles of 15, 75, 90, and 45 are assigned by default to cyan, magenta, yellow, and black, respectively. If you change the line screen for a selected color, the screen angle remains the same unless you change it.

Add Color

Define a missing color when a spot color used in a job fails to appear in the color list.

Build

Displays the Process Build dialog box for this spot color.

All Colors On/Off

Click All Colors On to select all the color check boxes. Click All Colors Off to clear all the color check boxes.

All Spots as Process / Separately

To map spot colors simultaneously:

  • Click All Spots as Process to change all spot colors to their process equivalents.
  • Click All Spots Separately to change all spot colors to "output as" their own separate plate.
  • Note: As of Preps 6.0 it's not possible to deselect individual color separations during output from Preps.  This is because Preps no longer contains a full RIP (eg. in-RIP capabilities), only a PDF engine, which sends a Color Table to a RIP output (workflow software or device).  The Color Table provides a suggestion of how to output the color information, leaving the responsibility to the RIP (workflow/device) to manage colors.  There are no plans to change this in the future.

Verwenden Sie diese Option mit Vorsicht. Druckt die gewählte Farbe über anderen Farben, so dass eine völlig neue Farbe entstehen kann.

Ausstanzen

Verwenden Sie diese Option mit Vorsicht. Spart einen Bereich für die ausgewählte Farbe in den anderen Auszügen aus und behält die ursprüngliche Farbe bei.

Rasterweite

Sie können eine Rasterweite auf jeden Farbauszug anwenden. Bei zugeordneten Sonderfarben gelten die Rasterweiten für jede Prozessfarbe.

Rasterwinkel

Wenn Sie eine Rasterweite verwenden, die nicht in einer PPD- oder PPX-Datei definiert ist, wird den Farben Cyan, Magenta, Gelb und Schwarz jeweils standardmäßig ein Rasterwinkel von 15, 75, 90 und 45 Grad zugewiesen. Sovrastampa/Mascheratura

Questa impostazione viene acquisita dai file di input PDF e non può essere modificata. Per impostazione predefinita i colori SSiCustomColors nei segni sono impostati per essere trasferiti come sovrastampa.

Attraversa

Consente di mantenere le impostazioni del file di input per il colore selezionato. Per impostazione predefinita, tutti i colori vengono trasferiti senza sovrastampa né mascheratura.

Sovrastampa

Usare questa impostazione con cautela. Consente di stampare il colore selezionato sopra gli altri colori e può determinare un colore completamente diverso.

Mascheratura

Usare questa impostazione con cautela. Esegue la mascheratura di uno spazio per il colore selezionato nelle altre separazioni e mantiene il colore originale.

Lineatura del retino

È possibile applicare una lineatura di retino a ciascuna selezione colore. Alle tinte piatte mappate, vengono applicate le lineature di retino di ciascun colore di stampa.

Angolo di retino

Quando si utilizza una lineatura del retino non definita in un file .PPD o .PPX, per impostazione predefinita gli angoli di retino di 15, 75, 90 e 45 vengono rispettivamente assegnati al ciano, magenta, giallo e nero. Se si modifica una lineatura del retino di un colore selezionato, l'angolo di retino rimane uguale finché non viene nuovamente modificato.

Aggiungi colore

Consente di aggiungere un colore mancante quando una tinta piatta utilizzata in un processo non viene visualizzata nell'elenco colori.

Build

Consente di visualizzare la finestra di dialogo Elabora combinazione per la tinta piatta selezionata.
