To transfer data from your MIS to the PLA software, you must first check that your MIS files conform to the PLA schema.

You can make MIS data conform to the PLA schema in two ways:

• Modify the MIS program to output XML data in the PLA schema.
• Create an XSLT file that transforms XML data from the MIS into XML data that conforms to the PLA schema.

Modifying MIS output to conform to a specific schema is generally done by a software developer familiar with the MIS system and XML programming. Kodak does not provide programming services for specific MIS systems. 

The information provided in this appendix will help a MIS developer create the proper XML output from a specific MIS.
