The Pandora software uses four types of boxes to position artwork on the layout.
Box type | Definition |

Media | The natural size of the artwork—for example, the dimensions of a sheet of letter-size paper. This box includes any extended area surrounding the finished page for bleed, printing marks, or similar purposes. |
Crop | Specifies the default clipping region for the artwork when it is displayed or printed. The default is the value of the Media Box. The Crop Box cannot be larger than the Media Box. |
Trim | Specifies the intended finished size of the artwork—for example, the dimensions of a sheet of letter-size paper. In some cases, the Media Box is a larger rectangle that includes printing instructions, trim marks, or other content. The default of the Trim Box is the value of the Crop Box. |
Bleed | Specifies the region to which all artwork content should be clipped if the artwork will be output in a production environment. A bleed area is desired to accommodate the physical limitations of cutting, folding, and trimming equipment. The actual printed artwork may include printers' marks that fall outside the Bleed Box. The default is the value of the Crop Box. |
