Add an output device to the ShopMap palette by typing information and selecting settings and connections in the New Output Device dialog box. If the device has a punch, you also need to calibrate the device for each plate and film size you plan to use.
When you add an output device to the ShopMap palette, two items are listed in the palette: the nickname you gave the device when you added it, and Default, which is the default settings for the output device. You can add the same output device multiple times, each time giving it a different nickname and applying different settings. Each of these instances of the output device is called a profile.
In the case of a press that also allows direct printing, such as Heidelberg Direct Imaging, you need to add the device to the ShopMap palette as both a press and an output device.
