Additional Known limitations
As of Preps 9.x, you cannot use “SIG” at the beginning of file names used for EPS & PDF Custom Smart Marks. The “SIG” designation is reserved for Collation Marks and will not be recognized when creating Custom Smart Marks.
For EPS & PDF custom Smart Collation Marks, you need to add “SIG” to the beginning of the file name in order for Preps to recognize it as a Collation Mark.
Solution:
Custom Smart Marks: Rename both the EPS and PDF (name not starting with “sig”). In Preps, link new EPS within current SMK.
Smart Collation Marks: Rename both the EPS and PDF (name starting with “sig”). In Preps, link new EPS within current SMK.
Update any existing templates with new SMK, as it also references EPS name. This can be done with a batch Find and Replace script.
Preps 9.0.3 and newer installs Profiles folder in a new location - Win Workstation ONLY
When Preps is launched from Workshop (integrated), a copy of the "PrepsPrinergy.cfg.template" profile is pushed to the local workstation and overwrites the "PrepsPrinergy.cfg" Profile. In previous versions of Preps, it was copied to the local installation folder of Preps.
As of Prinergy 9.0.2/Preps 9.0.3 the following is true:
- Profiles folder is now located in C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Kodak\Preps
- Previous versions of Preps are not compatible with Prinergy 9.0.2 (Win ONLY)
- All local custom profiles are accessed from this location.
- Mac = Profile path did not change.
When you use "Odd" or "Even" keywords in the SmartMark Range field, the mark will be applied only for the first press run.
This happens for all marks when the mark anchor is anything except Gutter. See Common settings for SmartMarks.
Workaround: Add t: before the Range keyword. For example, t:odd or t:even.
If you add a new sheet while in template editing mode, you will no longer be in template editing mode.
You can still save as template. If you duplicate an existing press run you will remain in template editing mode.
When adding press runs to a job from a template, you cannot rename a signature after it has been edited.
Once you save the job for the first time you will be able to edit the name of a signature.
Preps mark preview limitation.
Textmarks placed too close to an adjacent page may get clipped on output. The mark will not appear clipped in Preps because Preps sandbox must preview the entire image.

Autres limitations connues
Depuis Preps 9.x, vous ne pouvez plus utiliser "SIG" au début des noms de fichiers utilisés pour les marques intelligentes personnalisées EPS et PDF. La désignation "SIG" est réservée aux marques d'assemblage et ne sera pas reconnue lors de la création de marques intelligentes personnalisées.
Pour les marques d'assemblage intelligentes personnalisées EPS et PDF, vous devez ajouter "SIG" au début du nom de fichier afin que Preps le reconnaisse comme une marque d'assemblage.
Solution :
- Marques intelligentes personnalisées : Renommez le fichier EPS et le fichier PDF (nom ne commençant pas par "sig"). Dans Preps, lier le nouveau fichier EPS au fichier SMK actuel.
- Marques d'assemblage intelligentes : Renommer à la fois l'EPS et le PDF (nom commençant par "sig"). Dans Preps, lier le nouvel EPS au SMK actuel.
- Mettez à jour tous les modèles existants avec le nouveau SMK, car il fait également référence au nom de l'EPS. Cette opération peut être effectuée à l'aide d'un script de recherche et de remplacement par lots.
Preps 9.0.3 et les versions ultérieures installent le dossier de profils dans un nouvel emplacement - Poste de travail Win UNIQUEMENT
Lorsque Preps est lancé à partir de Workshop (intégré), une copie du profil « PrepsPrinergy.cfg.template » est envoyée vers le poste de travail local et remplace le profil « PrepsPrinergy.cfg ». Dans les versions précédentes de Preps, il était copié dans le dossier d'installation local de Preps.
À compter des versions Prinergy 9.0.2/Preps 9.0.3, les éléments suivants sont vrais :

Lors de l'ajout de tirages à un travail à partir d'un modèle, vous ne pouvez pas renommer un cahier après sa modification.
Une fois le travail enregistré pour la première fois, vous serez en mesure de modifier le nom d'un cahier.
Limite d'aperçu des repères Preps.
Les marques de texte placées trop près d'une page adjacente peuvent être tronquées lors de la sortie. Le repère n'apparaît pas tronqué dans Preps car le sandbox de Preps affiche un aperçu de l'image entière.

Ab Preps 9.x können Sie "SIG" nicht mehr am Anfang von Dateinamen für benutzerdefinierte Smart Marks in EPS und PDF verwenden. Die Bezeichnung "SIG" ist für Sortiermarken reserviert und wird beim Erstellen von benutzerdefinierten Smart Marks nicht erkannt. Einschränkung der Preps-Markenvorschau. Zu nahe an einer benachbarten Seite platzierte Textmarken werden bei der Ausgabe möglicherweise abgeschnitten. Die Marke wird in Preps nicht abgeschnitten angezeigt, da Preps Sandbox eine Vorschau des gesamten Bildes anzeigen muss.

A partire da Preps 9.x, non è possibile utilizzare "SIG" all'inizio dei nomi dei file utilizzati per gli Smart Mark personalizzati EPS e PDF. La designazione "SIG" è riservata ai marchi di fascicolazione e non viene riconosciuta durante la creazione di Smart Mark personalizzati.
Per i Contrassegni intelligenti personalizzati EPS e PDF, è necessario aggiungere "SIG" all'inizio del nome del file affinché Preps lo riconosca come contrassegno di fascicolazione.
