You want to publish the AppleTalk port as a shared virtual printer so that you can print directly from your desktop software applications on a Windows-based computer to the virtual printer.
Note: AppleTalk is not supported by Microsoft Windows Server 2008. It may still be installed using a third-party AppleTalk protocol software, and used for font downloading, AFP sharing, and setting up virtual printers.

  • On the Prinergy Evo server computer, select Start > Settings > Printers > Add Printer.anchor

  • Clear the Automatically detect and install my Plug and Play printer check box. Click Next.anchor
  • In the Select the Printer Port dialog box, select the Create a New Port option.anchor
  • In the Type list, select the AppleTalk Printing Devices options and click Next.anchor
  • In the Available AppleTalk Printing Devices dialog box, browse for and select a Prinergy Evo AppleTalk Virtual Printer.

  • In the Add Printer dialog box, select the default printer. Click Next.
  • In the Name your Printer dialog box, Printer Name box, type the name of the Prinergy Evo AppleTalk virtual printer. Click Next.anchor
  • In the Printer Sharing dialog box, Share as box, type the share name for the AppleTalk virtual printer. For example, Prinergy Evo AppleTalk Printer. Click Next.
