If you have a full access Preps integration license or a Prinergy Workshop Edition Preps Integration license, you can create a Preps imposition through Prinergy Workshop. The license allows for the automatic transfer of files between the imposition software and a Prinergy Workshop job.

1. In Job Manager, from the File menu, select Create New Imposition.
2. In the New Imposition dialog box, in the Imposition Name box, enter an imposition name.
   Otherwise, the box is read-only.

3. Perform the following as appropriate:

   If you are creating an imposition from a template...	Then...
   That needs to be modified using an external imposition application, such as Preps.	Select Use External Imposition Application. Then, in the Select an imposition application box, select the software you want to use. Note: If no applications appear on the list, this means that none have been set up. Use the Configure Imposition Applications option from the Tools menu to set up the software that you want to use. Note: If the application requires a license and is licensed, the application name appears in bold text.
   That does not need to be modified using an external imposition application and if you have the Preps Integration option Automated Imposition.	Select Prinergy Signature Selection.

   
   Note: Signature Selection works in Preps 5 mode, while the rest of Prinergy works in Preps 6 mode. This means that:

   • It is not possible to edit Preps 6 jobs that use come-and-go, cut-and-stack, or multi-binding styles with Signature Selection. If you try to edit an imposition that uses one of these binding styles, the Use Prinergy Signature Selection option will not be available in the Edit Imposition dialog box. Instead, you will be able to select Use External Layout Imposition Applications to launch Preps 6.
   • There is a difference in the way that Preps 5 and 6 display cut-and-stack and come-and-go jobs. In Preps 6, cut-and-stack jobs are shown as multiple webs, and come-and-go jobs are shown as multiple sections. In Workshop, such jobs are displayed in the Preps 6 format, while in Signature Selection, they are displayed in the Preps 5 format. This is just a difference in display: the page assignment is correct and the imposition will print correctly.
4. If you do not want to use the default import or export process template, click Select and choose the process template that you want.
5. In the Import Type list, select one of the following options:
   • Automatic Import to start the import process automatically. With automatic import of imposition information, the recommended import template option is Keep existing page set and imposition.
   • Manual Import to open a Start Process dialog box where you can edit the import process template, choosing import options appropriate to your Prinergy job.
6. Click OK.
7. In the New Imposition Details dialog box, in Imposition Name, type the imposition name.

8. Perform the following as appropriate:

   If you want to	Then
   Create a new page set	Click Create New Page Set and specify the name, prefix, and number of pages for the imposition.
   Use an existing page set	Click Use Existing Page Set, and select a page set from the box below.

9. Perform the following as appropriate:

   If you selected	Then
   Prinergy Signature Selection in step 3	Specify the desired templates, arrange them accordingly, set the desired final output device, and set any shingling and bleed margin default. Click OK. Your imposition is now created and this task is complete.
   Use External Imposition Application in step 3	Click OK. The Preps software starts. Continue to the next step and complete the remainder of this procedure.

10. In Preps, modify the imposition as needed.
    For more information on Preps procedures, see the Preps documentation.
11. In the Preps Signature List pane, click Signatures.
12. Select and add a signature or signatures that conform to the run list count.
13. Select Preps Layout Details and set shingling amounts and bleed margins, if required.
14. Click OK.
    The signatures are added to the signature list in Preps.
15. From the Preps File menu, select Print.
16. In the Send to list, select from the following options:
    • To output a PPF file, select PPF to generate a file that contains only PPF data.
    • To output a PJTF file, select Adobe Job Ticket and select Embed CIP3 cutting data. From Preps Pro, you can generate a PJTF file that includes the PPF tags for cutter/folders. When you import the imposition into Prinergy, you can output PPF from the Prinergy job.
    • To output a JDF file, select JDF as the output type.
17. In the Device list, select an output device.
18. Specify a Print Range, if required.
19. Click Print.

For a new imposition, the Preps software creates the PJTF and marks files and Prinergy automatically starts the import imposition process. The PJTF and PostScript marks files are imported into Prinergy and the imposition is added to the Prinergy job.
The imported Preps PJTF and marks files are saved in the <job folder>\System\ImpositionPlans folder. The Preps job, PJTF, and marks files are saved in the <job>\TransientLayouts\<clientmachinename> folder.

10. Dans Preps, apportez les modifications nécessaires à l'imposition.

11. Dans le volet Liste des cahiers de Preps, cliquez sur Cahiers.
12. Sélectionnez et ajoutez un ou des cahiers, conformes au nombre de la liste des tirages.

Klicken Sie auf OK. Ihr Ausschießschema ist jetzt erstellt, und dieser Arbeitsschritt ist abgeschlossen.

10. Ändern Sie das Ausschießschema in Preps nach Bedarf.

Für ein neues Ausschießschema werden von der Preps-Software die PJTF-Datei und die Markendateien erstellt, und Prinergy startet automatisch den Importvorgang für das Ausschießschema. Die PJTF-Datei und PostScript-Markendateien werden in Prinergy importiert, und das Ausschießschema wird dem Prinergy-Job hinzugefügt.

4. デフォルトのインポートまたはエクスポートのプロセス テンプレートを使用しない場合は、選択をクリックして、使用するプロセス テンプレートを選択します。
5. インポート タイプリストで、以下のいずれかを選択します。
   • 自動インポート：インポート プロセスを自動的に開始します。面付け情報の自動インポートで推奨するインポート テンプレート オプションは、既存のページ セットおよび面付けを維持です。

6. OKをクリックします。
7. ［新規面付けの詳細］ダイアログ ボックスの面付け名に、面付けの名前を入力します。

8. 必要に応じていずれかを実行します。

   ページ セットを新規作成する	ページ セットの新規作成をクリックして、面付けの名前、プレフィックス、およびページ数を指定します。
   既存のページ セットを使用する	既存のページ セットを使用をクリックして、下のボックスからページ セットを選択します。

9. 必要に応じていずれかを実行します。

   選択した項目	実行する手順
   手順 3 でPrinergy の折丁選択を使用を選択	目的のテンプレートを指定してそれに応じて配置し、必要な最終出力デバイスを設定します。その後、デフォルトのページずらしおよび裁ち幅を設定します。OKをクリックします。 面付けが作成され、この作業は完了しました。
   手順 3 で他の面付けアプリケーションを使用を選択	OKをクリックします。Preps ソフトウェアが起動します。続けて次の手順を実行し、残りの手順を完了します。

10. Preps で、必要に応じて面付けを編集します。
    Preps の手順の詳細については、Preps のマニュアルを参照してください。
11. Preps の折丁リストウィンドウ枠で、折丁をクリックします。
12. ラン リストのカウントと一致する折丁を選択して追加します。
13. Preps レイアウトの詳細を選択し、必要に応じてページずらしの量と裁ち幅を設定します。
14. OKをクリックします。
    折丁が Preps の折丁リストに追加されます。
15. Preps のファイルメニューから出力を選択します。
16. 出力先リストで、以下のオプションから選択します。
    • PPF ファイルを出力するには、PPFを選択して、PPF データのみを含むファイルを生成します。
    • PJTF ファイルを出力するには、Adobe Job Ticketを選択し、次にCIP3 裁断データを作成を選択します。Preps Pro からは PJTF ファイルを生成できます。このファイルには、裁断や折りのための PPF タグが含まれます。Prinergy に面付けをインポートすると、Prinergy ジョブから PPF を出力できます。

19. 出力をクリックします。

新規面付けでは、Preps ソフトウェアによって PJTF ファイルとマーク ファイルが作成され、Prinergy によって自動的に面付けのインポートが開始されます。PJTF と PostScript マーク ファイルが Prinergy にインポートされ、面付けが Prinergy ジョブに追加されます。

インポートされた Preps PJTF ファイルとマーク ファイルが <ジョブ フォルダ>\System\ImpositionPlans フォルダに保存されます。Preps ジョブ、PJTF ファイル、およびマーク ファイルが <ジョブ>\TransientLayouts\<クライアント コンピュータ名> フォルダに保存されます。

ジョブの外で Preps を開くには、「面付けソフトウェアをジョブの外で開く」を参照してください。

Si dispone de una licencia de integración de Preps de acceso completo o una licencia de integración de Preps de Prinergy Workshop Edition, podrá crear una imposición de Preps mediante Prinergy Workshop. La licencia permite la transferencia automática de archivos entre el software de imposición y un trabajo de Prinergy Workshop.

1. En el Administrador de trabajos del menú Archivo, seleccione Crear imposición.
2. En el cuadro de diálogo Nueva imposición, en el cuadro Nombre de la imposición, introduzca un nombre para la imposición.
   Si no es así, el cuadro es de sólo lectura.

3. Realice lo siguiente según sea oportuno:

   Si se está creando una imposición a partir de una plantilla...	Entonces...
   Las modificaciones deben realizarse con una aplicación de imposición externa, como Preps.	Seleccione Usar aplicación de imposición externa. A continuación, en el cuadro Seleccionar una aplicación de imposición, seleccione el software que desee utilizar. Nota: Si no aparece ninguna aplicación en la lista, esto significa que no se ha configurado ninguna. Esto se lleva a cabo mediante la opción Configurar aplicaciones de imposición del menú Herramientas. Nota: Si la aplicación necesita una licencia y dispone de ella, el nombre de la aplicación aparecerá en negrita.
   No es necesario modificarlo con una aplicación de imposición externa y si tiene la opción de integración de Preps Imposición automática.	Elija Selección de pliego de Prinergy.

   
   Nota: La selección de pliego funciona en el modo de Preps5, mientras que el resto de Prinergy funciona en el modo Preps 6. Es decir:

   • No es posible editar los trabajos de Preps6 de ida y vuelta, los de cortar y apilar ni los trabajos con varios estilos de encuadernación con la selección de pliego. Si intenta editar una imposición que utilice alguno de estos estilos de encuadernación, la opción Usar selección de pliegos de Prinergy no estará disponible en el cuadro de diálogo Editar imposición. En su lugar, podrá seleccionar Usar aplicaciones de imposición de diseño externas para iniciar Preps.6.
   • Preps 5 y Preps 6 difieren en la forma de mostrar los trabajos de cortar y apilar y los trabajos de ida y vuelta. 5. En la lista Tipo de importación, seleccione una de las siguientes opciones:
   • Importación automática para iniciar el proceso de importación de forma automática. Con la importación automática de información de imposición, la opción recomendada para la plantilla de importación es Mantener conjunto de páginas e imposición existentes.
   • Importación manual para abrir un cuadro de diálogo Iniciar proceso donde podrá editar la plantilla de proceso de importación mediante la selección de las opciones de importación más adecuadas para su trabajo de Prinergy.
6. Haga clic en Aceptar.
7. En la opción Nombre de imposición del cuadro de diálogo Detalles de la imposición nueva, escriba el nombre de la imposición.

8. Realice lo siguiente según sea oportuno:

   Si desea	Entonces
   Crear un nuevo conjunto de páginas	Haga clic en Crear conjunto de páginas y especifique el nombre, el prefijo y el número de páginas de la imposición.
   Utilizar un conjunto de páginas existente	Haga clic en Usar el conjunto de páginas existente y seleccione un conjunto de páginas en el cuadro que sigue a continuación.

9. Realice lo siguiente según sea oportuno:

   Si ha seleccionado	Entonces
   Selección de pliego de Prinergy en el paso 3	Especifique las plantillas que desee, ordénelas de la forma correspondiente, defina el dispositivo de salida final que quiera y defina el margen de sangrado y compensación predeterminado. Haga clic en Aceptar. Se creará la imposición y esta tarea se habrá completado.
   Usar aplicación de imposición externa en el paso 3	Haga clic en Aceptar. Se inicia el software de Preps. Continúe con el paso siguiente y complete lo que quede de este procedimiento

10. En Preps, modifique la imposición como sea necesario.

11. En el panel Lista de pliegos, haga clic en Pliegos.
12. Seleccione y agregue un pliego o varios que se ajusten al recuento de la lista de ejecución.
13. Seleccione Detalles del diseño de Preps y configure las cantidades de traslape y las sangrías, si son necesarias.
14. Haga clic en Aceptar.
    Se agregan los pliegos a la lista de pliegos de Preps.
15. En el menú Archivo de Preps, seleccione Imprimir.
16. En la lista Enviar a, seleccione una de las siguientes opciones:
    • Para generar un archivo PPF, seleccione PPF para crear un archivo que sólo contenga datos PPF.
    • Para generar un archivo PJTF, seleccione Nota de trabajo de Adobe y Encajar datos de corte CIP3. Desde Preps Pro puede generar un archivo PJTF que incluya las etiquetas PPF para cortadoras o carpetas. Cuando importe la imposición en Prinergy, podrá generar un PPF desde el trabajo de Prinergy.
    • Para generar un archivo JDF, seleccione JDF como el tipo de salida.
17. En la lista Dispositivo, seleccione un dispositivo de salida.
18. Especifique un intervalo de impresión, si es necesario.
19. Haga clic en Imprimir.

Para obtener una nueva imposición, el software de Preps crea los archivos PJTF y de marcas y Prinergy comienza de forma automática el proceso de importación de la imposición. Se importan a Prinergy los archivos PJTF y los de marcas de PostScript y la imposición se agrega al trabajo de Prinergy.

Los archivos PJTF y de marcas importados de Preps se guardan en: <carpeta de trabajo>\System\ImpositionPlans. Los archivos del trabajo de Preps, archivos PJTF y los de marcas se guardan en la <carpeta de trabajo>\TransientLayouts\<clientmachinename>.

If you have a full access Preps integration license or a Prinergy Workshop Edition Preps Integration license, you can create a Preps imposition through Prinergy Workshop. The license allows for the automatic transfer of files between the imposition software and a Prinergy Workshop job.

1. In Job Manager, from the File menu, select Create New Imposition.
2. In the New Imposition dialog box, in the Imposition Name box, enter an imposition name.
   Otherwise, the box is read-only.

3. Perform the following as appropriate:

   If you are creating an imposition from a template...	Then...
   That needs to be modified using an external imposition application, such as Preps.	Select Use External Imposition Application. Then, in the Select an imposition application box, select the software you want to use. Note: If no applications appear on the list, this means that none have been set up. Use the Configure Imposition Applications option from the Tools menu to set up the software that you want to use. Note: If the application requires a license and is licensed, the application name appears in bold text.
   That does not need to be modified using an external imposition application and if you have the Preps Integration option Automated Imposition.	Select Prinergy Signature Selection.

   
   Note: Signature Selection works in Preps 5 mode, while the rest of Prinergy works in Preps 6 mode. This means that:

   • It is not possible to edit Preps 6 jobs that use come-and-go, cut-and-stack, or multi-binding styles with Signature Selection. If you try to edit an imposition that uses one of these binding styles, the Use Prinergy Signature Selection option will not be available in the Edit Imposition dialog box. Instead, you will be able to select Use External Layout Imposition Applications to launch Preps 6.
   • There is a difference in the way that Preps 5 and 6 display cut-and-stack and come-and-go jobs. In Preps 6, cut-and-stack jobs are shown as multiple webs, and come-and-go jobs are shown as multiple sections. In Workshop, such jobs are displayed in the Preps 6 format, while in Signature Selection, they are displayed in the Preps 5 format. This is just a difference in display: the page assignment is correct and the imposition will print correctly.
4. If you do not want to use the default import or export process template, click Select and choose the process template that you want.
5. In the Import Type list, select one of the following options:
   • Automatic Import to start the import process automatically. With automatic import of imposition information, the recommended import template option is Keep existing page set and imposition.
   • Manual Import to open a Start Process dialog box where you can edit the import process template, choosing import options appropriate to your Prinergy job.
6. Click OK.
7. In the New Imposition Details dialog box, in Imposition Name, type the imposition name.

8. Perform the following as appropriate:

   If you want to	Then
   Create a new page set	Click Create New Page Set and specify the name, prefix, and number of pages for the imposition.
   Use an existing page set	Click Use Existing Page Set, and select a page set from the box below.

9. Perform the following as appropriate:

   If you selected	Then
   Prinergy Signature Selection in step 3	Specify the desired templates, arrange them accordingly, set the desired final output device, and set any shingling and bleed margin default. Click OK. Your imposition is now created and this task is complete.
   Use External Imposition Application in step 3	Click OK. The Preps software starts. Continue to the next step and complete the remainder of this procedure.

10. In Preps, modify the imposition as needed.
    For more information on Preps procedures, see the Preps documentation.
11. In the Preps Signature List pane, click Signatures.
12. Select and add a signature or signatures that conform to the run list count.
13. Select Preps Layout Details and set shingling amounts and bleed margins, if required.
14. Click OK.
    The signatures are added to the signature list in Preps.
15. From the Preps File menu, select Print.
16. In the Send to list, select from the following options:
    • To output a PPF file, select PPF to generate a file that contains only PPF data.
    • To output a PJTF file, select Adobe Job Ticket and select Embed CIP3 cutting data. From Preps Pro, you can generate a PJTF file that includes the PPF tags for cutter/folders. When you import the imposition into Prinergy, you can output PPF from the Prinergy job.
    • To output a JDF file, select JDF as the output type.
17. In the Device list, select an output device.
18. Specify a Print Range, if required.
19. Click Print.

For a new imposition, the Preps software creates the PJTF and marks files and Prinergy automatically starts the import imposition process. The PJTF and PostScript marks files are imported into Prinergy and the imposition is added to the Prinergy job.
The imported Preps PJTF and marks files are saved in the <job folder>\System\ImpositionPlans folder. The Preps job, PJTF, and marks files are saved in the <job>\TransientLayouts\<clientmachinename> folder.
