Use shared folders for storing Prinergy Evo input or processed files. Shared folders reside on the Prinergy Evo server computer or on any network server. Prinergy Evo server computer must have read, write, and modify privileges on shared network folders used to store or submit input files from. A shared folder enables the Prinergy Evo client computers and server computer to see the folder, to mount to it, and to access stored files in the shared folder.

Input files must be submitted to the Prinergy Evo Client software from a folder on which the Prinergy Evo server computer has read, write, and modify privileges.

During installation, Prinergy Evo software automatically creates the following shared folders on the Prinergy Evo server computer.

If you have more than one hard drive, a message prompts you during installation to select the hard drive on which you want the shared folders to reside. It is recommended that the shared folders reside on a non-system hard drive.

Mount the shared folders on Macintosh Prinergy Evo Client computers via AppleTalk software or SMB (Mac OS X) in order to connect the Prinergy Evo Macintosh client computer to the Prinergy Evo server computer and to access any files on the server computer.

Important: Mac OS X can only see SMB shared folder names that are 12 characters or less. If you create SMB shares to your Prinergy Evo Server or a file server from a Mac OS X Prinergy Evo client computer make sure the folder names on your server are 12 characters long or less. Otherwise, your Macintosh OS X Prinergy Evo client computer will not be able to see the shared folder.

Les dossiers partagés sont utilisés pour stocker les fichiers d'entrée ou traités dans Prinergy Evo. Les dossiers partagés résident sur l'ordinateur Prinergy Evo Server ou sur tout serveur du réseau. L'ordinateur Prinergy Evo Server doit disposer de privilèges de lecture, d'écriture et de modification sur les dossiers réseau partagés qui sont utilisés pour stocker ou envoyer des fichiers d'entrée. Un dossier partagé permet aux ordinateurs Prinergy Evo Client et Prinergy Evo Server de voir le dossier, de le monter et d'accéder aux fichiers qu'il contient.
Les fichiers d'entrée doivent être envoyés par le logiciel Prinergy Evo Client à partir d'un dossier dans lequel l'ordinateur Prinergy Evo Server dispose de privilèges d'accès en lecture, écriture et modification.
Pendant l'installation, le logiciel Prinergy Evo crée automatiquement les dossiers partagés suivants sur l'ordinateur Prinergy Evo Server. Pour plus d'informations, reportez-vous à Où sont enregistrées les données ?.
Si vous disposez de plusieurs disques durs, un message vous invite à sélectionner le disque dur sur lequel les dossiers partagés doivent résider pendant l'installation. Il est recommandé de conserver les dossiers partagés sur un disque dur autre que le disque système.
Montez les dossiers partagés sur les ordinateurs Macintosh Prinergy Evo Client via le logiciel AppleTalk ou SMB (Mac OS X) pour connecter l'ordinateur Prinergy Evo Macintosh Client à l'ordinateur Prinergy Evo Server et accéder aux fichiers sur l'ordinateur serveur.
Important : Mac OS X ne peut voir le nom d'un dossier partagé SMB que s'il contient 12 caractères ou moins. Si vous créez des partages SMB dans Prinergy Evo Server ou sur un serveur de fichiers à partir d'un ordinateur Mac OS X Prinergy Evo Client, assurez-vous que le nom des dossiers ne contient pas plus de 12 caractères. Dans le cas contraire, votre ordinateur Macintosh OS X Prinergy Evo Client ne pourra pas voir les dossiers partagés.
