If you try to open a job and you see the error message: Job has no surfaces. Please open another to continue ...the pages in this job have either not been assigned to surfaces in your workflow system, or have not been assigned properly. 

To make surfaces available for this job:

  1. Open your workflow software and locate the job.

  2. Reassign all the pages to surfaces.

  3. In PressProof, under the View menu select Regenerate View.
