Yes. The ThermoFlex ablation process produces particulate and chemical by-products. ThermoFlex customers must have external venting.
The UDRC-EV (Universal Debris Removal Cabinet, Externally Vented) is required for every installation. Tests have shown that chemical filters do not adequately remove gaseous emissions without external venting. (And, the amortized cost of changing chemical filters annually is much greater than the cost of the EV unit and external venting installation.)
