When upgrading the primary server running on Windows 2012 R2 operating system with Double-Take 7.1, perform the tasks listed in the specified order.
Note: This procedure needs to be completed only if you are upgrading from a version earlier than 7.5.0.
- Disconnect the Prinergy DB replication job on the primary server:
- Open Double-Take Console: Go to Start > All Applications > Double-Take Console, or double-click

. - From the Go menu, select Manage Jobs.
- Right-click the AraxiDb job, and select Stop.
- Open Double-Take Console: Go to Start > All Applications > Double-Take Console, or double-click
- Upgrade the primary server.
- Upgrade the secondary (failover) server.
- Reconnect the PrinergyDB replication job:
- On the primary server, open Double-Take Console: Go to Start > All Applications > Double-Take Console, or double-click

. - From the Go menu, select Manage Jobs.
- Right-click the AraxiDb job, and select Start.
- Wait for the Activity to become Protecting and the Mirror Status to become Idle.
- Close or quit Double-Take Replication Console.
- On the primary server, open Double-Take Console: Go to Start > All Applications > Double-Take Console, or double-click

Note: After completing the upgrade of all servers, a failover test must be completed to ensure the hot standby support is working correctly.
