The ink usage predicted data is based on the Prinergy output flows with additional Production data that is sent to the cloud, processed, and enable a single dashboard view that displays estimated ink usage based on a set of print conditionsFor more information about the ink usage calculation, see Ink Usage estimations. 

The Ink Usage report provides estimations about ink usage and consumption for a future time (week, month). The report can help you manage your inventory and plan according to the expected work load.

On the Ink Usage tab, you can view the following reports:

NotesThe dashboard displays:

  • Only approved separations (separation approval status)
  • Jobs which are not in a Completed status (job status)
  • Job's IU_PressDueDate is from 30 days back, for future jobs

Estimated Total Ink Weight

Provides information about the total weight in kilos or pounds (kg or lb) according to the region setting of the ink that is going to be used in the defined time range (Press Due Date).

Note: The default date range is one week back from the current date, through one month ahead.

2Estimated Total Ink Cost

Provides information about the total cost (in the defined currency) of the ink that is going to be used in the defined time range (Press Due Date).

Note: The default date range is one week back from the current date, through one month ahead.

Estimated Ink Usage by Due Date

Provides estimation of the ink weight and cost per the specified time frame (such as a day, week, or month). The default view is one day.

Note: To view more information about a specific date or job, click the display toggle button, , and switch to a table view.

To view detailed information about the ink usage estimation for a specific date (for all jobs), click the required date under Press Due Date.

To view detailed information about the ink usage estimation for a specific job, click the number under #Jobs.

To view more details about a specific job (for example, the ink usage for each of the job's separation or surfaces), click the required job name, under Job.


4Estimated Ink Usage by Color

Provides estimation of the ink weight and cost per color (C, M, Y, K and spot color) for the specified time frame.

Note: To view more information about a specific date or job, click the display toggle buttonand switch to a table view. Then, click the required separation name to find out about the estimation of the ink weight and cost for the specific separation or spot color, for all jobs or a specific job.


5Estimated Ink Usage by Press

This table provide estimation of the ink weight and cost per specific presses in the site.

In the Press column, click a press to find out about the estimation of the ink weight and cost for this specific press (for all jobs) or for a specific job.

6Associated Reports

This area includes two reports:

  • Job List - This report lists all the jobs in the defined time frame. You can use the filters on the left pane to sort the jobs by specific parameters. You can also view detailed information about a specific job, in addition to the estimation of the weight and cost of the ink that will be used for this job in the defined time frame, the report also provides information about the product type, the print condition name, the process template that was used to process the job and more.



  • Ink Usage Details - This report displays a list of all the inks sorted by the print conditions. The reports provides informations about the weight and cost of each ink that is going to be used in the defined time frame, as well as the press and plant in which the ink will be used.


    Note: In the Associated Reports, the last filter that you used is saved. To set new filters, you can either select another filter or click the Reset button. 


The report filters, on the right-hand side, enable you to display only the required amount of data.

Set the following filters as follows: 

    • To display information that relate to a specific Division or Plant, you first need to select a division and then from the list of plants that appears, select the required plant. Repeat the same procedure for selecting a Job Group and Press.



    • To display jobs that relate only to a specific job group, in the Job Group list, select the required job group.
    • For a job that is located in the root level in Prinergy (a job that is not related to any group), the group name will be displayed in the reports as "/".

    • You can also display information that relate to specific print conditions or color:
