Read this lesson for information about connecting Prinergy with one or more digital presses in your digital workflow environment. This lesson includes installation and configuration procedures required to setup Prinergy with a digital front end.
In Prinergy Administrator, you can add a press as a managed connection in Prinergy Administrator. In Digital Submit and Digital Direct, or Workshop, this allows you to submit and process jobs.
Digital Submit is configured by your system administrator. The types of digital presses and automated production targets that are listed in the Digital Submit window are based on your workflow system and business needs, such as the different types of digital presses that you have or if your workflow system uses RBA. Your system administrator or manager may provide you with guidelines to follow for creating jobs, depending on the types of digital presses that you have or if your workflow system uses Rules-Based Automation (RBA).
Digital Direct is configured by your system administrator. The types of digital presses that are listed in the Device Track window are based on the digital presses in your workflow system. Your system administrator or manager may provide you with guidelines to follow when submitting documents to digital presses.
